Re: Weather
Just been shopping and got absolutely soaked, non stop heavy rain. So overcast that street lights switched off but still dark, amazing how many pedestrians try to wear camouflage in the dark....dark coats, darl umbrellas. Shopping safely stashed away including big top up of freezers as I defrosted and cleaned them both earlier this week.

Re: Weather
Back from the early shop right on high tide so the river was very full, still dark when we left but getting light on our return so it looked really atmospheric as the sun began to rise. Nice bright skies now so a day for getting out and about, still very wet underfoot though and fungai growing all over the place.
Really warm at 16 degrees, long may that continue.
Have a great day all, enjoy the travels Angleseygirl and others on the road

Re: Weather
So warm and dry here, just finished fitting the corner blocks for the new slightly smaller solar panel, old one died. Perfect conditions for Sikaflex.
18c here sunny, soon dark, dreading next week when dark at lunchtime!! I really do wish they'd leave the bl**dy clocks alone!

Re: Weather
Yes, bright and sunny here too eventually. Not quite sunbathing weather but very pleasant at 16°c.
Think you may have forgotten what a Scottish winter morning is like Ian, if clocks don't change we are still in the dark at 10am. I'm not over the moon about changing clocks but it's better than the alternative at this end of the world.

Re: Weather
Not forgotten Tony, RAF Kinloss then Aberdeenshire for many years is hard to forget!! Quite possible to fly North at dawn, and land at dusk never having seen daylight at all!
What the time change doesn't do is increase the day length, just times of dawn and dusk.....

Dry with light cloud and 15°c as the gloom lifts. More rain coming later and it looks like the mild weather will be gone soon too.

Re: Weather
16 degrees here too, yesterday we were out sunbathing today it has started wet with sometimes heavy downpours. Lots of inside things to do ready for our colonial invaders, just as well as we will not be doing much outside for the next few days by the look of it!

Re: Weather
Lovely sunrise with broken cloud no wind or rain and mild at 12 degrees, complete contrast to yesterday morning although rain did stop about lunchtime yesterday.
Hopefully might get some outside jobs done today.
Had to search online for manual for kitchen microwave as couldn't remember or figure out how to change the clock to GMT. Cuppa then off to change clocks in two cars plus the four in the WXL (I may be gone some time )

Re: Weather
Funnily enough, the rain started here at lunchtime yesterday and just kept going. This morning it's dry and bright but noticeably cooler. Out for the Sundays and a few things to organise for the week ahead.
Take it easy.

Plenty of rain yesterday, have they called the drought off yet?
Bright with broken cloud again, still cooler again and there's rain on the way again. At least I can see it in daylight

Re: Weather
14 degrees, dry and feels very mild with no sign of temperature drop on the horizon, heating not needed at home which is all good news. No need for longs yet.
Don't mention the rain down here Tony, SW Water who have amongst the highest water charges in the country have just released a load of sewage in to the ocean at St Agnes because it rained too much for the storm drains to cope. At the same time we have a hosepipe ban because it hasn't rained enough.
Nothing to do with the thousands of new homes being built and flood plains being destroyed then.
Off to the big City of Truro now to fill the freezer or so I am told. M&S shares are recommended.

Re: Weather
Nice and sunny with a light breeze, watched the news footage of the sewage discharge on the TV this lunchtime GH, not surprised the locals are up in arms.
Our local sea water is sandy so any discharge from sewer outlets would hard to see.
Our water rates are expensive too GH.
Have a nice afternoon.
