Re: Weather
After a bright start it’s slowly become overcast as the day progressed. I did get the dinning room finished so we had a late Easter Sunday dinner. When our son arrived he helped me move the furniture back and pack the tools away. It was a bit chilly for sitting out but we had a nice afternoon and finished the wine from Mother’s Day and left over from our last trip.

Re: Weather
Glorious day yesterday, very warm and sunny. It's been raining overnight and this morning it's overcast and several degrees cooler than yesterday. The forecast is for it to dry up so I'm hoping to get the van out for a run to check the tyre pressures.
We didn't have a roast chicken from Lidl yesterday. We did buy one and my wife cooked it (as she has hundreds of times before). She carved it, served it and it was the most foul (sorry ) chicken either of us has had. Tasteless and it really was the texture of rubber so the whole lot went straight into the recycling bin.

Reminds me of the Chinese restaurant joke " Waiter this chicken is rubbery"
"Fank you very much Sir"
Anyway, today is a bit overcast 14 degrees so not too bad, dry so far. Managed to get on the roof of the van yesterday, took ages getting tiny black spots off and clean it properly, just a wash down of the rest of it today then helping management clearing Montbretia from the garden. Grows like a weed down here and takes over everything.
Hope you are all having a good Easter, enjoy the rest of it

Re: Weather
Another nice bright day but the breeze is a bit chilly. Considering it’s Easter weekend the weather has been quite good. It snowed at Easter when we were stationed in Germany one year.
After the decorating this weekend I decided it would be a good day to clean the inside of the Rienza. Management cleans the carpets at this time of year after the winter trips. They certainly needed it judging by the muck that came off them. The idea of putting a dissolved a dish washer tablet down the kitchen sink drain certainly shifted some gunk. The sink now empties a lot faster now.
We found Holland’s Meat and Potato and Cheese and Onion pies in Lidl so it will be a nice tea tonight. Being from the North West we miss Holland’s pies and Puddings. It’s surprising what you can find in Lidl.

Re: Weather
Bright and sunny this morning but, again, a few degrees down on yesterday. Got the van out for it's first run and checked the tyres, all good so we'll hopefully get away next week.
I went into Tesco for a couple of things an, after encountering several home shopping pickers in the aisles, I got to thinking about the Bob Newhart skit on bus driver training school. I guess these guys must be trained on how best to site their trollies to impede ordinary shoppers to the max

Re: Weather
You can tell the bank holiday is over with a chilly grey start to the day. We had an early walk whilst management gets her self up and at it. She has an appointment for a blood test. This should have been done earlier in the year when she had her perscription review. First it was a shortage of bottles and then the nurse was off sick. A sign of the times I suppose.

Re: Weather
A nice bright start but still a bit chilly. Another early start today to take management for a hospital appointment this time.
This is a check for bone density after breaking her ankle last year. Surely if there’s a problem she wouldn’t have managed the walking we have done since she put her foot down a hole in the grass last summer.
Because of the backlog in appointments it would help if some appointments were better assess.
Just her wig trim tomorrow and that’s it until the weekend when she goes to see her mate. Me and muttly can have a weekend on our own.

Another fine, dry and sunny morning. 12°c right now and nudging up to 16°c later. Got a couple of things to do outside but we might just go out somewhere for lunch. Right now the betting is on it being a garden centre

Re: Weather
Cooler start but another bright sunny day in prospect. There was certainly enough heat in the sun yesterday to sit out but I had a few bits to be getting on with. Anyway, our neighbour decided it was a great day to cut her grass and generally find lots of ways to make noise.

Little more cloud by still mostly sunny, 14 degrees and light Easterly breeze. Another busy day planned, washing gutters, painting walls then moving the scaffolding for the workmen to get on the next roof and clean off the moss! Going well so far! Anyone want tons of moss...
