Re: Weather
Yet another sunny start and a few degrees warmer than yesterday. There's some hind of cloud which might or might not hit us later. No complaints though, it's really cheerful to see the sunshine on all the flowers out in the garden.

Re: Weather
The fog horns were sounding on the Humber this morning but the mist is slowly lifting as we are eating breakfast. Muttly was up and waiting for his breakfast when I went down first thing but has gone back to sleep now.
Nothing planned after our morning walk it’s managements day for a wig trim.

Re: Weather
Another beauty here this morning and I don't mean just me!
Gave the van a little run to get a couple of bits in town, now coffee and some weed spraying.
This time of year great last night we had a video link to Canada and watched the birth of six baby goats and two baby lambs. Our daughter was rushed off her feet dealing with it, helped by our two grand daughters. Both of them are on the autism spectrum but to see their joy at the births was quite touching. Lots more to come, sheep and goats that is not children.
Have a great day all and stay safe!

Re: Weather
Another warm start if a little misty but not enough for the fog horns on the river. As much as it’s a lovely day weather wise it’s not a day I am looking forward to. A dental inspection I was due tomorrow was moved back to last week resulting in a filling required. That was booked for tomorrow and changed yesterday to this morning. I have a bad feeling about this not helped by them swapping my appointments about. The original dentist was very good but since she retired it’s never the same dentist twice and the place is a dump with plaster falling off the wall in the surgery.
No matter what the outcome is we are out and about Monday.

Re: Weather
As I said earlier it wasn’t going to be a good day even though it’s quite warm and sunny now. I was all set to go to the dentist allowing ten minits drive but management Polo packed in. I would have walked but it was too late by that time. When I rang the dentist they have given me another appointment for tomorow at the same time as the oringional appointment.

Cool clear and dry morning, nice walk out with Tag, lots of birds out on the dawn chorus.
Grilled up a couple of Popseye steaks GH, had them in the deep freezer since the new year, still very tasty, have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Bit of a cloudier start but still quite mild. Thought we had missed the Sahara red dust but our cars are covered in it. My wife was not pleased as she spent ages washing hers before it's MOT last weekend. I'm going to give them a lick and a promise later. Not all bad news though, I would have washed the van by now and I would not have been a happy boy if it's got the red lurgy

Another nice start to the day. Amongst the my chaos in my life at the moment our son made us smile yesterday when he appeared.
His girlfriend wanted to go out for a birthday lunch so being warmer he took her for a chippy lunch outside a chippy on the sea front. They had the full lunch with fish chips , bread and butter and a pot of tea. She wasn’t too impressed with him making a chip butty. Also the only other people there were pensioners being a Wednesday. She should know better of him considering how we brought him up.

Still learning Boaby, thanks to Mr Google I now know what a popeseye steak is, hope it tasted as good as it looks.
That's the trouble with the younger generation Dave, don't appreciate proper food, a chip butty would go down well now. Poutine is simply not right I am afraid!
The weather....nice sunny start, back from the big City of Truro or covid central as they should rename it currently, very quiet and nearly everyone wearing masks. More people in the local hospital with the vid than at any time during the pandemic, I forgot it is all over though isn't it!
May just get the sunloungers out and forget the pressure washing, I can do that in the rain!
Have a great day all

The ambulances were queuing at A&E when we passed by last week, GH.
We were in Helston yesterday partaking of ice creams by the boating lake. It was absolutely beautiful in the sun.

Re: Weather
Popeseye is a cut you only get in Scotland and from a real butcher, never seen them in supermarkets at all.
Sahara dust update, that stuff is hard to get off. My wifes car was the worst for some reason, I had to resort to a stiff brush (with soapy water) to get rid of it. It's not helped by all the residue left by the workies installing broadband cables. A few days ago I was taking a 4 pack of 2 litre sparkling water into the house from the car. The plastic wrap burst and the bottles hit the pavement, each bottle was perforated by tiny stones and became an instant fountain
Not one swear word passed my lips though, I swore a lot more than that

Re: Weather
I think I will rite off this week. Rather than taking the Rienza for my dental appointment I decided to get the bus. Bad idea because the bus was ten minits late due to road works.
As much as the driver tried to make up time I was five minits late. The dentist said “You didn’t come yesterday and now you are late so no treatment”. The nurse and receptionist looked stunned at this. I was offered another appointment in May with the provided that it would be a different dentist.
I walked home to calm down. It was a lovely walk in the sun with a nice breeze. The butty shop was en route so I got butties and cakes for lunch to eat out on the decking with a brew. This will be the first time this year the weather has been warm enough.

Re: Weather
Nice walk out with Tag and straight out to Whitby before the traffic got busy, Whitby was packed so came back in via Filey and was pleasantly surprised the county park wasn't busy.
Caravan park and cafe open, getting busier as the day got on.
Still warm in the sun, have a nice weekend.

It looks like the bright warm spell is over here. It’s grey overcast and forecast to stay that way for the day.
I am working up the enthusiasm to wash the roof of the Rienza but I have to go and pick up some grub for muttly first. With managements car being off the road it looks like I will be going in the Rienza.
