More than mild, would describe this morning as warm! Not aware of the fireworks we usually get after the bells, and no signs of life around this morning so far.

14°c here, dry with a brisk wind blowing. We had fireworks going off randomly from 6pm with a volley at midnight. Our street was as dead as a dodo with nothing or nobody moving. First footing has pretty much died out, not sure carrying a lump of smokeless coal and a bit of vegan black bun works anyway. We had a small (aye right) libation before retiring after watching the great (aye right) hogmanay TV 

Need to get out for our New Year walk, looks like great conditions for it 

Well our excitement on New Year’s Eve  was Lulu on Jools Holland's Hootenanny on Beeb 2. We saw her at the Albert Hall a month or two back again with the Jools Holland Orchestra and she stole the show, particularly when she asked if anyone recalled a number she did some years back called “Shout”. Did we remember…well the whole audience did and were up on their feet (including me and that’s  not me) joined in. Dry warm and sunny here. Off to Beckenham Place Park for a couple of hours of fresh air.

Yesterday was the warmest new years eve.
Today the sunniest day of 2022.

Happy new year all. Just back from a long walk around the village didn't need a jacket it is so warm.
Time for shorts again if this keeps up.
Dry with a gentle breeze and sunny periods
Birds are singing there hearts out and daffodils in abundance.

Turned into a glorious sunny day here too, still a stiff breeze blowing but it's a warm wind. Had a lovely walk to blow away the cobwebs and I was really surprised to see many shops open.

Our Camillias are still in bud, any flowering would be killed by the frost........and we will get frost before the month (or even week) is out 

Nice blooms GH, with have lots of Cyclamen in various colours out in tubs, reds,pinks whites etc nice winter show.
Blue sky at the moment with a mild breeze,Tags dog blankets and bed covers have been washed and out on the line.

Too windy on the east coast of Anglesey to put washing out. Wind is howling round the house!

Dry mild night,( mole skins off) out for a walk with Tag before the forecasted wet front comes in
New alarm clock, LGV driver neighbour goes of to walk at 3.30a.m, his Honda car has a bean can exhaust and he likes every one know he's up, I'm fine, i can go back to bed , when I return home with Tag.

Cooler again this morning but very still and peaceful at present. Rain forecast for late afternoon then marked fall in temperature and increase in winds on the way.

Absolutely beautiful day yesterday until the rain came about 6pm. Dry and sunny now with hardly a drop in the temperature. I'll be really glad when all this enjoying ourselves stops and we can get back to normal 

Rain cleared by 8 am, leaving a nice blue sky. Several jets passing over heading north.

Still really warm but raining on and off this morning, good job there are things to finish off indoors, dry lining the wall where the doors have come out then have to mud it. Tiles to lay as well so plenty to do.

All kitted out at 11.00 am for our daily walk around the village. Still wearing shorts but just as we left the front door the rain started. Gone by 12.30 so another go. Stiff breeze but finished in the dry, hardly anyone about. Can't still be sobering up surely ??

The only guys wearing shorts around here are the male posties , both of them play for the local rugby team ,so are tough nuts. Weather cooling down still dry.

Cooler westerly breeze,dry  starlite morning,good promanard walk with Tag, still muddy of the path though .
Very busy along the coast towns this weekend, Filey/ Scarborough were packed.
Nice to hear the Blackies and Robins singing.

Still mild so far but we are expecting the cold blast from the north to change all that. Very windy overnight and raining now with grey skies so I guess it's on for a while. Got a few things to sort out indoors so no plans to go out, unless the boss has other ideas 

Just back from Dundee, went to Morrisons as a change from usual Tesco and Asda we have in town. Absolutely tipping it down, road was quiet as today and tomorrow both bank holiday in Scotland, most people not back to work or school till Wednesday.

Feet up with a cuppa then will decide what jobs to tackle today.

Cooler today still 12 degrees though. Had to do a covid test last night, all the usual symptoms and feeling drained but it was negative so did a second and that was the same. Skies are grey but it is dry so maybe take a walk out in the fresh air to get the mojo back.

Every 4 hours that is  

Heavy rain till the wee small hours, cleared by 5 ish, not so long walk out with Tag, chilly north westerly wind.
Hope the wee hot toddie worked fine GH , some like a wee dod of sugar in the toddie.

Temperature sitting at 0, cars iced up and bird bath frozen. We are just at the southern edge of yellow weather warning for strong winds later today. And should get sleet rather than snow. Not a day for outside jobs. Still bank holiday up here today so quiet day in store I think.

Poorly GH this morning streaming head cold cough and feeling lifeless. Waterworks are closed and full of stinging bees. Haven't eaten anything since rwo days ago. Totally unlike me to get like this. Doc is phoning later for a chat.
Still mild here some breaks in cloud but I won't be doing anything for now.
