Re: Weather
Just been out in the garden to sort the recycling from the small box we keep in the house into the wheely bin used for kerbside collection by council. Thought I would only be a couple of minutes so just nipped out without putting coat on. Much colder than it looked, ended up breaking the ice on bird bath and topping up feeders.
As a result now absolutely nirled and trying to warm up fingers again.

Re: Weather
Having to be up early for managements appointment at the hairdresser our walk was early. It was frosty but not slippery.
Muttly is normally wary of people carrying bags when we are out but this morning he met a lady and her daughter carrying a bag that wanted to make a fuss of him. He was very interested in the bag. Apparently it had presents in it.
It will be interesting to see how he reacts on Christmas Day.

Just getting light, pretty dull and damp but a bit milder outside. No plans to go out and plenty to do indoors.

Re: Weather
damp morning here too, 13 degrees.
Just back from the last Christmas shop getting the final "bits", shelves are all stocked and managed to get everything. Loads of turkeys left on the shelves, reckon they will be clearance come boxing day.
Cornwall really is a great place to live, where else would you walk in to the supermarket, meet your usual check out Lady who then hands you a Christmas Card and gives both of us a great big cuddle in the middle of the shop. Made our day!
Have a great day all

Cold damp and miserable
Enough about me, the weather is also cold. Been out to collect Turkey joint and trimmings from the butcher. Piled high with customer orders, staff full of seasonal cheer. Picked up some lamb steaks that will do nicely for tea tonight.
Ladies in bakers were well stressed, wished them a nice Christmas and reply was there is an awful lot of hard work before they finish tomorrow. I spent my first 20 years of working life in retail so sympathise with them.
Stay safe.

Re: Weather
Another cold grey day here but dry. Our morning walk was interesting. We met a lady with a little spiky dog that looked like nasher . She said it was a Romanian rescue dog that came in to the uk through the same kennels as Paddy . I don’t know if they communicated about there past but they waged tails so that was nice.
Lidl and Tesco local car parks were packed this morning and the que for the butchers was at least 200 yds long. It took me ages to get across the main road to get to the cash machine. Our last shop at Sainsbury’s yesterday wasn’t too bad but I think it will be busy today and tomorrow.

Re: Weather
Its misty/drizzly and horrible hear today. We did our final Christmas shopping late yesterday afternoon on the way back from returning granddaughters.
Went out for a couple of items for today around midday - our small town and small supermarkets were manic. Everything is in plentiful supply but it seems today is the day to shop.

Re: Weather
Quite a lot of rain overnight but dry and cold now with a lot of cloud. After only seeing one or two Fieldfares this winter we had a tree full (over 100?) yesterday. We noticed that there were still lots of berries on the trees and bushes around here, guess they did too
Fox is in his usual place but I need to go out to bring the wheelie bin in, don't think he's going to be very happy

Re: Weather
Didn't bother going out before daylight, checking oil, washer and coolant on carsx3 and Moho as both daughter's here for Christmas (nurse one working Nightshift tomorrow night, but still our first Christmas where we will have lunch together in several years)
Cold and still, with light cloud. Much improved from constant rain yesterday.

Re: Weather
Just the reverse here Ian, yesterday was good with a fair deal of sunshine, this morning it is hammering it down with rain. 12 degrees at the moment.
Fortunately finished all the shopping so being a good boy this morning and helping Lady Cinderella mop the bathroom floors and kitchen ready for visitors tomorrow to make them dirty again. Bought her a dyson V10 animal for Christmas lucky girl, I asked for a Porsche Taycan but somehow I am not sure I will be getting it unless the premium bonds are very kind in the New Year.
Have a great yuletide holiday everyone....

Merry Christmas all with two legs and four.
That Santa can't be relied on left me the same as last year. Nothing.
I reckon he is really the same bloke that draws the premium bonds each month cos that is what he leaves as well.
Have a great day all and try to stay awake for the Queens speech...

Must admit I have never particularly looked at this thread before as from the subject I wasn’t sure I wanted more weather forecasts etc. Must say I was quite pleasantly surprised. Seems it’s a place for a pleasant light hearted chat. Anyway the big decision for me is whether to shower or wash up first. Have a great Christmas all….oh and it’s overcast miserable and gloomy in Saaaf London.

Bright and clear morning, cold but no frost (or fox after he ate the Robin's Christmas dinner ). It's food prep, a bottle pop, then parcel opening. Just the two of us so we can do as we please at a pace that suits us
Have a great day all, hope you've got the Rennies in for tomorrow

It’s was a bit fresh out there for our Christmas morning walk. Typically I was dressed for going to our daughters for Turkey butties so not wrapped up enough but when we come back I can find some alcoholic to warm the bones.
Have a great day one and all.

Glad you joined the thread Bob, abit of forecasting for those who are transiting through the area, or want to avoid it. .Bobskate wrote:Must admit I have never particularly looked at this thread before as from the subject I wasn’t sure I wanted more weather forecasts etc. Must say I was quite pleasantly surprised. Hissing down with rain here now just on time for son plus partner and gran son to arrive. That will put paid to the Christmas walk. Never mind an extra whisky (note I spealt it without the e) should make up for things. Strathspey malt if that is any good
