Yet another dry but overcast morning, hope to finish the grass cutting and leaf collecting later.
Roads were really busy first thing for the early shop, most things fairly well stocked in Sainsbury's then back to the local baker for freshly made cakes!

Have a great day all  allthumbz

Another mild dry night, wind has turned and coming down off the mountains now so expect drop in temperature in the next few hours.

Enjoy your weekend.  shiver

Yet again a mild overcast morning, very little wind, expecting a big drop in temperature tomorrow. All ready for visitors this weekend but covid strikes again as one of the children may have it as all his class mates are going down with it.
"Should we still come".....I am either sensible or a miserable old gruntfuttock, it will be a quiet weekend then!! wave

Expected cold now arrived, 6C outside plus northerly wind so feels colder. Coming to you all tomorrow if forecast correct.

May need hot water bottle yet shiver shiver

Gruntfuttock GH, wonderful Kenneth Williams character in Round the Horne brings back lots of memories.

Rain passed us yesterday morning hearing south, today is cold with gentle northerly breeze, cloudless sky and bright sunshine. Nice day for working outside.

Enjoy ☺

Been a cracking day down here, went to the beach this morning and it was more like summer, lots of people in swimming. Just one rogue shower otherwise clear blue skies.
Looks like it will be getting much colder tonight though, time for the delicate plants to go in the greenhouse.
Two hours to F1 time, threatens to be an interesting race.

It was chilly in the wind whilst were away earlier this week but this weekend it realy gone horrible. The winds realy picked up and it’s raining.
With the Rienza being in for repairs from tomorrow it might be good timing untill the weather becomes a bit more sociable and better for walks.

Stop it GH, making us all jealous.

Had to scrape the car windscreen this morning before going in to town to get stuff from butchers. Order for Christmas turkey and trimmings placed this morning.  xmas_smilie

Morning playmates  smile!

Back into the old routine this morning, cold, dry and a heady 10°c up here. No buffet breakfast either (what is that big bowl of pink stuff with lumps the Scandinavians seem to love?) so had to raid the freezer to make toast  shrugg

Slight frost last night, first one of the winter season. Sunny start to the day again with clear blue skies, bit of a nip in the air currently around 5 degrees, hardly a breath of wind.

Guess the difference between here and NZ is about 20 degrees Al, you must be missing your winter trips. so_sad

I had an involuntary cold start today before I even before I stepped outside. Without thinking I put the shower on after having a shave and stepped straight in. It was absolutely freezing:censored!:. I didn’t think to check the temperature because we don’t adjust it. What I forgot was that management had cleaned the shower and flushed it down using the shower head yesterday with cold water.
When me and muttly ventured out its warmer than yesterday now the wind has dropped. It’s bright but a bit overcast.
Whilst typing this today’s second blunder occurred. We got donuts for our lunch. Normally you can see were they put the jam in but I still got jam down my front. There were two jam holes.tap_fingers I think I will cancel today.

I think it would be less risky to put a clean jumper on. I could save the washing if I let muttly lick the jam off. Whistle1

About that GH. Grandchildren have just filled their pool ready for summer! We're normally booking flights now... Still no sign of NZ letting visitors in, apart from elite sportspersons, but I think it's too late to start training for me though...

Canada seems to have opened up though. A friend in Scotland has just seen her son off back to BC after 2 weeks holidaying in the UK.

Gave up on jam doughnuts years ago, far too dangerous  Whistle1

Bit of a dull and damp start to the day, rain on the way soon. Forecast suggests it will clear by lunchtime with it getting much colder and pretty windy. Next three or four days don't offer much promise  shrugg

Nothing much on the cards today, except a LFT  rolleyes

Mixed morning of sunshine and cloud, not too cold at 9 degrees but rain on the way.
Ceiling to paint today.
NZ is back in April Al so get that booking in! We were going to Canada for Christmas but all the family there have covid and next year we have to go for a longer stay (resisting permanent) probably around March time.
It may be time to sell Hog Castle and buy a lock up and leave, lots of thinking to do!

It didn’t seem too bad early this morning, overcast and chilly. It seems to be getting colder as the day goes on.
We have to isolate from tomorrow because of managements hospital appointment on Monday so the bad weather that’s coming at the weekend is probably a good time to batten down and get the living room decorated.

Chilly dry mornings in Kelby, near Grimby, managed a few walks out with Tag around the fields near the village.not the usual coastal walks.
Chilly here in Bridington, still dry with light cloud cover.

Management has threatened me with a bib after a chocolate eclair lost its filling down my front this afternoon. If was her idea of a treat for afternoon tea after shopping today.
Not sure about you’re spelling Boaby but do you mean Keelby. If so you’re on the wrong side of the bridge. hugegrins
