Very warm and muggy here here on Kings Lynn. After a cooler breezy 4 days on the coast.

Re: Weather
The rain continued yesterday and overnight but it's been fairly light. Still pretty cool though with winds coming from a northerly direction. All change tomorrow (apparently) with high pressure getting to us from the south west. I may even get to try out the prescription sunglasses I bought last year

Re: Weather
I shouldn’t have watered managements pot plants last night because it’s rained today from a bit of drizzle to chucking it down this afternoon.
At least it keeps me out of any more gardening tidying for today. The only problem now is the rain will encourage the weeds to appear again.

Re: Weather
I thought you went there during the winter months?
Still disappointingly dull and cool but at least it's dry. The gardener is following Adam Frosts advice and deadheading the roses but she had to don a warm jacket first. Whoever's in charge, a little bit of sun would be nice, thankyouverymuch

Re: Weather
No pattern to when we go Tony in fact it is a bit of a dismal place until the snow comes, summers are long and hot as a rule. We have to make the decision whether to move permanently or stay here but at the moment here wins.
Back to hedge cutting again at least it is warm and dry for now but rain is on the way.

Re: Weather
Cooler, overcast with clouds coming in of the sea, good walk out with Tag, he's glad to be back on his own patch, although he did enjoy the beaches, not to keen on the cobble shores though.

Re: Weather
I'm with Tag on that, I find it hard enough on pavements never mind pebble beaches. Trouble is my wife loves beachcombing and that usually means getting in amongst the rough stuff.
Good start here, sunny and warm. Looks like the BBQ will be getting fired up later

Re: Weather
The BBQ will be getting a good wash if you bring it out here Tony. Dismal morning with rain on and off and heavy rain forecast for later.
That Tag isn't just a pretty face, I am with him too, pebbly beaches just don't do them, has to be sand for me! Glad the hols went well Boaby and you are home safe. Enjoy the BBQ Tony.

Re: Weather
Chucky beaches I don't mind, it's the big flint cobs that kill me, it's certainly taken a few mills of Tag claws.
Apart from a few clegg bites All's fine, however the wife is still nursing a stotter of a bite on her foot, she thinks it was a spider bite. Looked nasty a few days ago.
Enjoy your BBQ Tony, thanks for the good wishes Hog.

Re: Weather
Overcast mild morning, no wind inland, a wee breeze along the cliffs.
Nice walk along the shorter grass at Sewerby cliffs and cricket grounds, earth is solid and dry, birds are having a hard time finding worms etc.
Have a nice day.

Yesterday was warm but disappointingly overcast. We have the promise of better stuff over the next few days. The weather never seems to settle these days

Re: Weather
Poured down again last night and now a few glimpses of brightness but certainly an indoor day. Last trip away the pump on the van toilet failed so replacement coming, that's on the list and the boiler at home has packed up so also have an airing cupboard to strip out and repaint. No shortage of jobs around here, could just do with being in my 40's and not 70's to get them all done!
Have a good day all.

Re: Weather
We are supposed to be heading for summer but it’s been cold and grey here all day. Typical Wimbledon week I suppose.
It would be nice if it warms up a bit when we are away next week.

Heavy overnight showers, brief weather window at dawn let me and Tag out for a good walk.
Lots of Mavis and Blackies out this morning, some really nice tunes amongst the dawn chorus.
Second day of cleaning the inside of the van, amazing what gets into it,half of Sandringham woods in here.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Sunny and warm start, 19°c now with forecast of 25°c later. Might break out the shorts We're struggling to keep our bird feeder topped up, mostly getting emptied by several sparrow families. Nothing much else about, bar a few Coaltits, although my wife is convinced she saw some Blackcaps last week. School holidays started last Friday so we have lots of Gulls circling, wondering why their food supply has been cut off

Re: Weather
Yesterday was very hot with good sunshine, great day for sitting out in the garden. Well it would have been but our neighbours bought their 5yo and 8yo grandsons a large paddling pool from Aldi and disco whistles. We went out for a walk instead It looks like a decent day head with more sunshine, anybody know where you can get earplugs
GH, I guess you're kind of happy not to be in BC now

Re: Weather
You are not wrong about that, it was 49 degrees in Vancouver yesterday and 42 degrees on the Island, schools closed for the holidays y and daughter said it was like walking in to an oven. Hottest she has ever known in her lifetime. Lucky the house is half way up Mount Benson but even so the animals , sheep, goats, chickens, ducks etc are really suffering and several people have lost dogs to the heat.
They breed silkie chickens and have had to move them in to the air conditioned garage, not only the heat they have been attacked by a bear who is desperate for food, bears are normally vegetarian.
Back to boring Cornwall, lovely start to the day with warm sunshine so time for a tip run, back for coffee and then this afternoon it would be rude not to get the beds out!
Have a nice day all.
PS: Traffic locally is really building now as visitors descend, school holidays will be hell this year!
