Heavy rain shower mid morning, first rain in weeks ,Tag s combed out undercoat keeps our local nesting birds in ideal nesting material, both blackbird nests are stuffed with it.
Working on the vans Truma system, finally cleared the air lock and both water heater and warm air heater working fine.
Fridges Working too.

Re: Weather
After four days of bright but cold weather in Norfolk we came home today to find it’s warmer a bit father up the coast. We sat in the dinning room at tea time with the door open.

Another cracking start, lovely day in prospect before the rain gets here this evening. Looks like I'll need to dig the thermals out again for Monday and Tuesday

Another lovely start to the day, dawn chorus was so loud this morning, up by about 6am like the energizer bunny but wanted to go back to sleep by 8am!
Not popular I know but going hunting this morning.....
someone somewhere must have some 6kg calor available....
What did you think I meant.
Have a nice day y'all

Re: Weather
Chilly frosty start to the day, sunrise behind clouds on the horizon, loads of ruddy gulls out this morning, feeding on all the fish suppers and burgers dumped last night.
I feel a BBQ coming on later, couple of nice fillets and baked tatties should do the trick.
Have a nice day.

No chance of any outside catering going on here today. Overcast sky and drizzly rain right now, suppose the garden needed it

Re: Weather
Same down here, frosty start but clear blue skies again and a decent sunrise. Enjoy the BBQ, Boaby, looks like a cracking day for it.
Stripped out to just the swimmers yesterday afternoon and a couple of hours soaking up the rays which was rather nice.
Anything further afield curtailed for now as Liz is still suffering from a mystery illness, doctors have no idea what it is so awaiting hospital appointment next week. Hopefully not too serious so we should still be able to get away the week after.
Managed to find some gas yesterday, didn't realise it was so hard to get, We have one refillable and one calor but like to keep the calor full as the reserve tank.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Hope you enjoy those steaks Boaby, stopped raining here but still dull.
GH, hope your wife gets a diagnosis soon and gets on the road to recovery
There was a shortage of gas cannisters last year, places like B&Q were only selling them with appliances. I'm just reading about a Canadian restaurant up here, seems their take on fusion food is Poutine and haggis, sounds....errr....interesting

Cloudy start to the day, dry and warmer, Dawn chorus in full swing and 5 ,later than usual. A lot more tourists in running their dogs loose along the beaches and prom.
Made a quick exit, don't like confrontations this early in the morning.
Hope Liz is better Hog, have a great day .

Re: Weather
Sorry to hear about your good lady's long covid Boaby, hope she gets over that soon, what a b@gger. Liz has a hospital appointment on Thursday, she is a tough northerner and hardly ever gets poorly so goodness knows what the problem is
Today it is much cooler and overcast skies, the frosts have ended. Getting on outside today, drains to clear out and then starting the outside painting now the frosts are over. Picking up a few rowan trees today, have read the birds love the berries so will plant half a dozen around the place and see if they grow ( the trees that is not the birds!)
Tony, Poutine and Haggis? Not so sure about that I have only eaten Haggis a couple of times and remember it being piped in more than how it tasted but could never get my head round poutine. Cheesy chips fine but why pour gravy over then as well, still, at least it wasn't maple syrup.

Frosty morning dry. With clouds covering the sunrise again, nice walk out along the Sewerby fields, not to many tourists out this morning.
Gulls making a hell of a noise, otherwise a nice calm morning.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Damp start after overnight rain, it seems to be moving south and clearing so watch out Not much moving here, birds must be busy elsewhere
GH, the restaurant reviewer (via a takeaway) shared your viewpoint. Poutine is not something I've tried (or likely to)

Re: Weather
Morning all!
Good bright start with no frost, 7 degrees outside. Off to the big city of Truro this morning, quite nice to get out of the scruffs and out something slightly better on as that is a rare happening! Not much around by the way of birds here either, guess a lot might be sitting on eggs now, found a broken blue t egg in the yard, either hatched or stolen and smashed.
Have a good day everyone!
Tony, you have missed nothing by not eating poutine. Seems Mc Brains do a veggie haggis, Lady G says we should try it or is this the equivalent of a ginsters pasty and best avoided.

Glorious start to the day, clear blue sky and bright sunshine. Already 13°c and rising with the promise of 18°c by Friday and Saturday. Looks like the BBQ will be getting some use at last

Another corker here, great stat to the day for me with a 9am visit to the dentist for a 45 minute appointment to get work done for a new crown
Bird feeders are busy this morning with all the usual suspects, lots getting taken away.
