Re: Weather
Turned out a pretty good day weather wise, no rain so had to do a little watering tonight although it is all down hill from now I think.
Had the second jabs this afternoon, all very easy and no issues yet so glad that is all done! Pair of goldies back on the feeders when I got home, trying to get some good photos but not much success so far!

Re: Weather
Hope you don't get any side effects from your jab Hog, I had a saw heed for a few hours and then was fine .
Beautiful sunrise , sun up and bright, burning of the frost, wild fowl coming in over the sea (north east) look like Pinkfoot?
Tags cream crackered after a long lead walk along the coastal path and back for his breakfast.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Good you got you second jag GH, seems like a bit of Russian roulette in who gets a reaction and when. I understand the relief as well, my wife gets her second on Saturday so the pain should go (that's the one in my right ear ).
We had a terrific sunny day yesterday, not a drop of rain, some snow but no rain Different story today, very dull with threatening clouds on the horizon. Plenty of rain on the way I think

Re: Weather
Hi all
No side effects from the second jab so far, hope yours goes well Paul.
Rain overnight, glad we watered yesterday evening still raining now but skies are brightening so expecting a sunny afternoon. Haircut this morning, usually needs doing twice a year, better pop in to LIDL as we pass to get some chocolate brownies for tea, someone has to do it and support the local economy.
Have a good day all

Re: Weather
Not sure about the pool in Helmsley. I think it’s an outdoor pool so not only is it a bit too wet for me it’s probly a bit chilly.
Considering the weather was changeable whilst we were in Helmsley there were ten vans in the car park last night.
We stopped at the Hole of Horcom at lunch time today and managed a short walk allowing for managements slightly knackered ankle, self inflicted. As we sat having lunch it turned really cold and it started hailing. The car park was white for about ten minits.
As we drove down into Whitby we could see the sky to the east was black and the rain was poring down. By the time we got to Fylingdales it was bright and clear. It’s getting chilly now but hopefully we will get some walks in during the next three days.

All these foreign sounding places, must get round to spending some time up country to find out where they are! Go to France and will probably get attacked by a fisherman anyway!

Re: Weather
Cool clear dry morning, showers overnight has left the grass
wet, ideal for the birds. Had a great walk out with Tag, plenty of birds out along the coast.
Pleased you haven't had any side effects from your 2nd jabs boys, onwards and upwards as they say.
Some beautiful country "up north" hog, like any coastal area ,it's very busy.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
A dry night for a change and a sunny start this morning.
Only a slight headache so far after the jab. I can honestly say I didn't feel a thing yesterday, when the nurse said 'that's it' , I didn't even know she had done it.
Getting van ready for a weekend away to see grandkids followed by visit to AEG to get the Truma Combi sorted.

Re: Weather
Lots of rain yesterday and right through the night. Dry now but showers predicted for later and still very cold. Looks like a warmer and wetter weekend ahead so no plans for outdoor activities. We have our first trip organised for a fortnight's time and I'm desperate for a dry day (without the risk of hypothermia ) to get the van washed

Re: Weather
Frost again last night, quite exceptional for this far South, lovely sunny morning though. Back from the 0730am shop, supermarket empty but roads very busy. Keep my fingers crossed for the weather for your trips Tony and Paul.
When it comes to "Up North" I have flown over it many times but that is the problem with flying, you rarely get to see the places underneath. Took our old Bessacarr round Scotland and did the Lake District on the way up and Dovedale on the way back, just remember it rained an awful lot! maybe later this year looking at the ferry fares to Brittany!
More painting now for me...

Re: Weather
Muttly and I have just had a lovely walk to Bogle Hole coming back via Robin Hoods bay. It was a bit chilly in the wind but we sat on the quarter deck overlooking the sea at lunch time.
As we walked back along the cinder track I could here a rumble of thunder over the moors. It’s now raining but still bright. There will be some soggy people in Robin Hoods bay. The square at the bottom was full of people pint to pint. So much for social distancing.
There’s an big tent just round the corner from us that had lots of picnic and barbecue things outside. Sitting in the motorhome with a brew and piece of cake listening to the rain and muttly snoring is way life should be.

Heavy rain showers this afternoon curtailed our beach walk south of town this afternoon, managed to get back into the car before the skies opened.
What a day.

Same here this morning but had a washing out since lunchtime and it's almost dry. Dark clouds starting to build up again so here we go again.

We are experiencing the first bit of meaningful Rain for weeks. We see dark clouds in the distance but just seem to catch the edge of them.

Re: Weather
Windy and damp here, rained steadily all night so everything is looking nice and fresh. No chance of doing anything much outside for a day or two this looks set in for a while. Looking ahead or the next break in the weather and we will plan another trip for a couple of nights somewhere not too far away. Beginning to learn you don't actually have to travel great miles to see something different and enjoy it.
Desperate to get back to Canada but still on the amber list and would have to isolate at the point of entry which is Calgary for two weeks so it simply isn't going to happen for the time being. Never mind it will still be there when we can get going again.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Rain arrived here a few hours ago . Took my wife out, well took her for her second jab What you say GH is exactly our philosophy, apart from the fact that my wife is not a great traveller in motorised transport. We try and restrict the amount of time staring at tarmac and we're quite happy spending three or four days enjoying a change of scenery. If we can get a bit of walking in, that's better still. Sure the weather can be unpredictable but we usually have other ways of getting our sunshine fix.
