Great sunny morning, bit of white fluffy cloud around so not looking good for later and a bit of a breeze blowing.
Pair of bullfinches tucking in to breakfast of nyger and sunflower hearts and green woodpecker tapping away.
Mowed the front lawn yesterday, looked great then the badgers came along last night and dug it all up again, little beggars.

Done the back and one side of the van Boaby, usually spread the job over several days and even weeks so it is not such a chore, have a rotary machine but do the job mostly by hand, polish then sealant then wax, the result is the van looks like new rather than its 9 years old now. It gives me pleasure looking that good ,but,  I can see why people would either not bother or just a quick wash off. Each to their own! up!

Have a great day wave

Overcast and cooler here now,sun in trying to come out, used to take me about a week to wash and wax the Sigma Hog and it was abit shorter than your van.
I used Cara-van White polish, came up well.

You are a mere whipper snapper compared to me Boaby according to your profile ( I am 72!) don't know if you are the same but these days although I am fit and healthy find myself pacing some of the bigger jobs or doing them in stages. We have three different lawns in total over an acre which I used to just mow straight off, now I do one at a time with a roller mower. A ride on would not really be practical unless it was zero turn.

How does it go, potter in the morning, rest in the afternoon, relax in the evening then sleep at night and enjoy the weather of course!

A lovely bright and warmer day here. We have put the bedding back in the locker ready for off next month.
I managed a couple of hours in the workshop with the door open this afternoon. One of the male blackbirds was running in and out of the rockery making a lot of noise. There has been two male blackbirds about for a while now. The sparrow squadron are pulling our surviving hanging basket to bits. I think they are after the lining for nesting.

Heavy showers came in earlier than I expected curtailing my walk with Tag, it's not enjoyable walking into high wind and rain .
Hope you all got your vans clean and polished and garden chores completed.
Blackies really into the nest building, should be laying eggs soon.
Have a nice day.

Light but persistent rain and much cooler here. Wet stuff looks on for the day so a quiet day in the old armchair is on the cards. Then again, what's new Whistle1

Wet start, weeks shopping done by 8am so time now for a cup of tea. First signs of a little bit of blue sky coming so looks like it may be dry later on. Enjoy the chair Tony, don't spend too much time inspecting the insides of your eyelids.

Cool and wet start to the day but something brighter in prospect. Our garden clock is set at the right time for the move to BST tomorrow, that's because I didn't bother changing it back in the autumn Whistle1

Stopped raining and now looking a little brighter, blue patches and shower clouds. Hoping it will stay dry to get out and about.
Pair of greater spotted woodies on the feeders this morning which was nice to see. In the skies it is like the Battle of Britain with the gulls attacking the soaring buzzards, they seem pretty adept at escaping though!

It's that time of year, either they are fighting for territory or sorting out who is boss. We chased a squirrel out the garden yesterday and it took refuge in a neighbours big tree., but not for long. Pair of Magpies have a nest in a close by fir tree and they hounded the squirrel out of the tree and then out of the gardens. up!

We had high winds and heavy rain overnight, it's a bit brighter now but the forecast is for more of the wet stuff today. We get the national and local BBC weather forecasts after the Saturday evening news. The national forecast was full of how warm it's going to be from tomorrow (for a few days anyway), our local forecast followed that up with a Met office weather warning for the same time because of heavy rain and potential flooding shrugg

Overcast here too, promise of sunshine later and a light breeze. Glad the walk with Tag went well Boaby. Back to waxing the van today and getting ready for tomorrow and a day at the beach. Want to clean the indicator points in the water tank and air the tank out before a refill, put all the summer essentials back in, chairs etc, feels like we are heading off to normal. allthumbz

Sorry about the boiler, you'll just have to wash in cold water for a while now, there are a load of boilers stuck on a ship in the suez canal that were destined for the UK, hope yours isn't one of those... hugegrins hugegrins hugegrins

At the risk of offering further confusion....I was not accusing you of being a clipe (Scottish word for tell tale or "grass), I was saying I wasn't one. Although in this case I actually was hugegrins

Fortunately we have an electric immersion heater so no problem with hot water (in fact I seem to spend a lot of time in it biggrin). It's our Ideal gas boiler which has proved not to be ideal Whistle1

Another dry clear night, sun almost up on the horizon, you'll have to excuse this old man as I get you all mixed up these days.
Great walk out along the grass fields with Tag, washed his back foot in doggie antiseptic this morning,he's had his breakfast,so he's fine.
Have a nice day.
