DUETTO COLLECTED!
Yippee! My new Duetto has been rescued from its foster-garage and driven by me the 260 miles through the rain to its new home. It is a happy van and I would be too but still too tired to even think!
All seems to be in order and I didn't realise I 'd be getting both internal and external silver screens. Luckily I got them to test all the locks -- the fuel cap was faulty and didn't open. That had to be replaced. Could have been disastrous somewhere on the M25.
I now have a tow-bar taking up most of the cabin -- I had asked them to take it off for me. I'll advertise it -- any idea how much they are new? It is of course huge -- took two men to carry it.
Now to get it all set for Latitude Festival-land on 12th -- back to the East Coast. This is going to be a baptism of.......mud and I am hoping the motor campers there will be helping each other in case of getting stuck. (Have my Monster Mats...)
Many thanks to all who have helped on the forum -- invaluable advice about what to look out for and ask!

Great news!
Can't help on the value of a tow-bar but if my memory serves me correctly I didn't get much change out of £300 when I had one fitted to a small Corsa!
As for your baptism of mud, don't worry about the weather; by the time you arrive the mud will have dried out and hardened into solid ridges!
Best regards,

Solid ridges!! Thanks for the thought Dutto, but even at my speed I don't think so. Take a look at this!

Still, I have bought my wee Beldray vacuum, have doormat, waterproofs, fleeces, towels, boat?.....
Thanks again to you and others for all the support -- I'll be back!
