Re: Weather
The day started overcast and chilly in the breeze but brightened by late morning in time for the service at the cenotaph.
Thinking ahead the heater went on in the workshop early morning making it nice and cosy for an afternoon of tidying up and changing the plug on the mains lead for the van.

Re: Weather
A strange yellow glowing orb appeared in the sky later in the afternoon for about half an hour although it was drizzly all day. Played havoc with the telly watching as it was shining in my eyes.....

Re: Weather
Cooler this morning at only 5 degrees but dry and clear and the forecast is for a sunny day all day although the temperature won't quite reach double figures. As long as the colourless gray sky disappears I'll be a happy bunny.
Take care if your out and about.

After nearly a fortnight of grey days it’s a bright if chilly day. As long as we get some sun I will put up with the cold. I can always dig out my thicker jumper or turn the radiators up a notch.

Getting chilly in the mornings now, 4 degrees and a touch overcast but should brighten up later with sunny spells forecast - not too bad for the middle of November.

Cloudless here, at 5C. Backlog of laundry will be done today using the electricity produced at last by domestic solar panels. First prolonged sunshine for a fortnight.

2C this morning and cars are iced up. When I came back from Dundee after 10pm last night A90 had been gritted not long before I drove it, still plenty of grit and salt in evidence with a few tyre marks. Suspect if I had to go further north I would have caught the gritter.

Beautiful red sky this morning, we don't often get that, temp 2° here as well, rising to 9 with no rain forecast all day.

puddle under the van this morning ....... when my son brought it back recently, he had drained it but clearly the boiler still had water in it - thanks for the good old "dump" valve .!

Re: Weather
Yesterdays sun was short lived. It’s gone back to overcast and a cold breeze on our walk. Muttly stopped as one of managements friends walked past with her shopping. Its her butchers shopping day and he knew what was in her bag. He used to be very wary of shopping bags but has worked out they might contain nice things.
A bit of thinking time in the workshops to sort out what I consumables need to order for the current project. Unfortunately anything I need can’t be bought locally meaning a drive to Leeds or mail order. I don’t mind the wait because it’s a hobby not time dependent earning me money.

Overcast this morning but a bit warmer at 7 degrees. Might brighten up later but, like Dave, the sun yesterday was short lived and only appeared for about half an hour and that was later on.

Re: Weather
Same as Dave Gee.
Someone has decided we need access to fibre broadband so street has been chaos for past week as they worked their way along towards us, our cul de sac is now inaccessible with barriers, diggers and workmen everywhere. Got up early and moved management's car to start of street so we can get out if needed, no chance of moving daughters car or the van for foreseeable
Looks like it is Virgin who have commissioned the work, if so from what I read online need to be a Virgin customer to use their fibre network unlike Open Reach where you can choose provider. Will wait and see if we can benefit from disruption

Re: Weather
A bright and sunny if chilly start today. After our walk we are having a trip to town today because managements phone won’t charge. It has played up when we were away but trying a different lead sorted it. Now it saying fully charged but as soon as you switch it on the battery goes to no charge. It’s not an old phone like mine that daughter gave me but the O2 shop can sort it.
Maybe it would be nice to have lunch out whilst the weather is a bit brighter. Maybe take butties to the sea front.

Re: Weather
10° this morning, lot warmer than yesterday but very foggy , can't see the hills around. Slight chance of rain which I hope will hold off as we have a joiner working today with his work benches set up outside.

Re: Weather
Bright and dry again and another trip into town to finish setting up managements new phone. Unfortunately there were some passwords needed. We are both guilty of not remembering some passwords especially if you haven’t used them since she bought the old phone. After a bit of thinking we found them hidden away in the desk.
The precinct is a mess at the moment. A quarter of it is closed shops and the indoor market waiting for redevelopment but it seems to have stalled. No doubt it’s something to do with funding.

Re: Weather
A cold grey misty morning here. Nothing planned for me and muttly not that management was intending us going anywhere. On her way out to have her wig trimmed she locked the front door whilst I was putting my shoes on for our walk.
Yesterdays trip to the phone shop to finishing setting up the new phone was another reason why we hate phone shops. The first girl didn’t have a clue why we had to come back and a guy said you will have to deal with the girl you saw yesterday. She was on her tea break. Eventually it was sorted until we got home to find the charging lead was ridiculously short and not a USB plug as before.
Not wanting to go back to the phone shop we went to a well known large electrical store. They charged £40 for a different plug in thing and a longer cable. Management didn’t seem to mind but later I bought a couple of adapters for the USB sockets in the van for less than £10.
Not wanting to seem a grumpy old man heading for a big number birthday it seems there are more things in life to really annoy me on a daily basis.

Quite bright but cold at 7°. Very little chance of rain which is good for the joiner to finish his work. With him working in the house yesterday and today, we haven't ventured out .
