Really warm day here yesterday, got up to 25°c as the day went on. Bit more cloud today but should stay dry with a high of 19°c. My elder brother has travelled up from from Englandshire, at short notice, to spend a couple of days catching up. So, all plans for today are being redrafted  biggrin

Cooler dry morning, overcast with the sun not heated up yet, out for a spot of birding up and around Filey brigg.
Have a nice day.

Overcast this morning but dry for now so a tip run in order.
House hit Rightmove this morning so waiting for the phone calls, if it is meant to be it will, if not no worries.
Rain coming later today.

Back home for 8 days before heading off to Lancashire for a week, daughter collecting van tomorrow for a few nights away while I sort out house and garden. Waiting for guy coming to fix garage roller door which jammed in May, first date that suited us both. Dry and warm, still shorts and t shirt weather.

Another bright and dry start to the day. Talking to my naibor it looks like the shed repairs are starting this weekend. I have to work with him because it will require one of the fence panels between our gardens needs lifting out. He has given me a shopping list of timber and glue so I will get that sorted.
It looks like it will be an easier repair this time as long as the rain holds off.

Lovely hot (for Scotland) day, good for drying washing from recent trip.

Garage door man didn't turn up, claimed we weren't in the diary, assures me he will be here tomorrow morning, time will tell!

Mentioning summer fruit we seem to be doing well in some respects. Maybe the earlier damp weather has helped.
The plum tree next to the shed has produced a bag full of fruit this week minus the ones next door ate whist he was clearing the ivy off the fence.
The alpine strawberries are going mad. The normal strawberries are a bit slow like the tomatoes. After meany years two of our miniature apple trees have fruit this year. The third one hasn’t done anything so maybe we should give up with it.

Dull 100% cloud and cool here just 16 right now

However with my positive thinking, it rained yesterday, just enough to prove my window leak is cured!
Taking new neighbour to visit a Nimrod today so dry and cool is actually a good thing, just hope it doesn't rain!

An overcast and muggy start today but the breeze is helping to clear the air slowly. Afternoon tea booked for our anniversary today so nothing else planned.
As a matter of interest were is the Nimrod Ian ? . I have been inside one years ago but I can’t remember were it was. Over the years I have visited most of the military and aviation collections including some in Australia and New Zealand. It was a bit unnerving when an exhibit was fenced off because a brown snake was sheltering from the sun under an aircraft.

Cooler and cloudy. Still dry so will get last of grass cut this morning, then on to weeding.

Garage door guy did turn up. Managed to release it so now works manually, done head scratching and checking resulted in him deciding the motor is fubar so he needs to contact the factory in Germany. I feel a long wait for resolution and repair now looming

Overnight rain is clearing to the east leaving a day of light cloud and occasional showers. Temperatures are down though with a high of 18°c. Shopping went OK but need to go back to Lidl, picked up Chocolate Weetabix by mistake. Chocolate Weetabix, yuk  shrugg

Cloud banks in the west over the Trossachs but they seem to break up as the arrive over us, with bright sunshine.   16* on the wall guage in the back yard, but its sheltered there.     Give your Choc Weetabix a go, you might become addicted.  smile!

Mixture of sunshine and showers but quite warm so this afternoon it's chair bed time and running shoes. Grass all cut in case of any viewings but not expecting too much, the market is slow and limited for this sort of house

Have a great day all
PS, be thankful for the rain check out the news from Jasper in Canada...will be that way in six weeks!

Been there too! Camp Wainright, near Edmonton back in the late 60s. Had a bit of R&R in Galgary & Jasper etc.
Stayed warm for the rest of the day, clouded over now.

Family home is in Benson Meadows on Vancouver Island, west of Nanaimo and half way up Mount Benson. Weather has been hot there for weeks but thankfully no major fires so far.
One of my favourite places is Two Jack Lake near Banff so will find a few days to fly up there and beyond. No return dates planned, back to the weather.

Bob, I quite enjoy chocolate cake but the only thing I like chocolate flavoured is chocolate (darker the better)

Cloudy with sunny spells today and a high of 19°c, no rain on the forecast which means there probably will be  Whistle1

Chilly and cloudy at 6.30 when I went out to Tesco for a few things, now warm and sunny with good forecast for next few days.

Garage door guys got back in touch, factory in Germany confirm new motor needed, over £600, plus vat,  got to be done as we have a double width roller door and don't fancy working it manually.
