Re: Weather
Dry and only 1° right now, rising to no more than 4. Freezing tonight. Warming up a bit from tomorrow.

Dry but windy here, surprisingly warm when the odd burst of sun appears.
Hope it stays dry off to Whitwell pm to visit Dave

Not Spring weather here, heavy rain showers throughout the morning with a chilly breeze.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Got there in heavy rain, roads v wet. Rained while in Dave's van. On way home it was close to survival conditions, 2 flooded fields had broken their banks and water was like a waterfall onto the road. We were in the Volvo whose air inlet is in the front bumper......groundhog wrote:Just what Ian said
Got back to North Walsham, less than 20 miles, bone dry, not a single puddle.....
Then it pee'd down!!!

Re: Weather
It was pretty dry yesterday but cold. Forecast is for it to be less cold and mainly dry today (so not warm with probable showers ). Couple of things on the go, might have to toss a coin to decide which gets done, now where is my double headed penny
Take it easy.

Re: Weather
Sunny just now but feels cold. Supposed to be 3 degrees but doesn't feel it. Think I got all the DIY jobs done yesterday so a day of rest for me (although the Boss will no doubt have other ideas)
Take care.

Sunny but cold (1°) start, cars covered in frost, but clearing on those in the sun. Temp rising to 7 with slight chance of rain.
Off in the van today for 2 nights away, pre-season check.

Re: Weather
A dry start to the day here. Muttly spent the night clinging to the heater even though we turned it off when we went to bed. We will see what the weather decides to do but maybe a walk along the old railway.

Re: Weather
I love old railway lines, really interesting.
Sunshine and showers today, 8 degrees, really hoped to get an early season start on the outside jobs but no chance in this weather so cleaning all the windows indoors is the order of the day.... the start of it anyway. Must start the van, battery was down to 11.4V when we got back from St Lucia so suspect that means a new one, it is six years old now anyway.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
It managed to stay dry for our walk to Reepham but it’s slowly clouded over on our way back
We didn’t walk along the railway but decided to take the shorter path to Reepham station as sugested by Ian. It was a bit muddy in places but not too bad. Because of muttlies issues with doors we sat outside with teas, a pastie and a sausage roll for lunch.
On the way back we found a passage through to the market place. In its day it must have been a busy place. Both the station at Reepham and Whitwell look to have been have had big goods yards as well as the passenger services.

Morning all,
Cold this morning. -1 and cars are white with frost. Sky is clear and forecast is for sun all day so might manage to creep into double figures later on.
Take care if your out and about.

Re: Weather
A lovely bright but chilly start here in Norfolk. It seemed a shame to go home if it’s going to be a nice day so we are moving over to the coast once we have finished breakfast and morning walk.
I know it’s almost the same North Sea coast as our bit in Lincolnshire but we like the Norfolk coast. Maybe a pub stop somewhere. There are times like this we say why are we going home but we have trivial things to do this week like prescriptions to pick up and management’s wig trim. And of course muttlie has only got one more dinner left for tonight.
Porridge and toast done it’s walk time and pack up.

Hammering down with rain in SW Cornwall, just dank and depressing. Time to book another holiday?

Re: Weather
We managed a nice walk along the sea wall after lunch. It was quite breezy but not particularly cold being from the SW. Even after nearly three years of muttly being with us he still shows up something he dosnt understand.
The tide was quite high with decent size waves. Every time a wave broke on the beach he looked at them very suspiciously. Other dogs were charging about but he just ambled along behind us.
Coming back we walked on the coast path behind the sea wall so he was happier with that. We left him to have a sleep whilst we had a drink in the pub. They serve Adams Ghost Ship and management found a Cider she likes so that was nice. Pub tea this evening.

Morning all,
After yesterdays cold start it turned out warm and sunny with the temperature hitting 15 degrees. Touch warmer this morning at 6 degrees, clear sky and no frost so fingers crossed for another nice day.
Take care.

Re: Weather
It didn’t seem as cold last night but after our nice meal and drinks in the pub I don’t think we cared. It’s a warmer but slightly misty start this morning. Me and muttlie had a nice walk along the sea wall whilst the kettle was boiling and the shower water was heating up.
This is going to be a come back to stop over. No doubt if the wind is off the sea it might not be too good but sat here with my toast listening to the waves is a nice start to the day. Unfortunately its drive home day. Who said being retired gives you all the freedom you like. Saying that it’s not long before our next booked trip is due.

Re: Weather
Happy St Pirans day TW and everyone else!
Morning of bright sunshine and showers with an overnight of just 3 degrees, still have the screen covers on the van, thought I would be taking them off by now but another few days I guess.
Enjoy your travels all those out and about, not sure I will make the 17 week wait until we head off to France and beyond.... who is counting
