Re: Weather
Sitting in the van having breakfast with it sounding like being inside a drum as rain is absolutely stoatin Doon. Forecast to clear up in about an hour then nice afternoon so will have a chill out in van this morning. Afternoon tea at Betty's was delightful yesterday with live piano music and very attentive staff. Then went round Jorvik centre, management got stuck on the ride as she didn't have strength to pull herself out, managed with a couple of firm hands and good tug. Finished afternoon with walk along river then back through Rowntree park before rain started
Back home tomorrow so hopefully forecast is correct.
Have a good day

Re: Weather
Bright and sunny morning so outside it is for a bit of hedge trimming and then if I feel energetic enough need to get some fuel for the pressure washer and start doing the drive which is looking a bit scruffy.
Forecast looks reasonable for the week thank goodness.

Re: Weather
Not working this week Boaby, decided to have a weeks holiday. Well, I say holiday, the boss has got so many jobs by the time I go back I'll be happy to get a rest
Off to Blackpool tomorrow for a few days (sadly, not in the van.) Hopefully the weather will be a bit better than it is here, 13 degrees and showery.

Re: Weather
Watch your teeth on the rock Dave Yesterday was much wetter than forecast with lots of showers. It looks more like heavy rain today with one system arriving from the west before it hits us again fromthe north.
Enjoy Whitby Boaby, hope you get some decent weather. Safe trip home BB.

Re: Weather
Typical autumn morning, misty with a chill in the air.. got packed up in sunshine yesterday in York, windy over A66 to Penrith, the torrential rain from crossinv the border up to Stirling, arrived home in sunshine again. Would have preferred two days for journey, but I have hospital appointment at lunchtime and management getting flu and covid jabs this afternoon.
Main job this morning is to start emptying van and getting it ready for daughter no2 using it for a week long trip to Lancashire in a couple of weeks.
Odometer turned 50,000 as we passed Penrith Yesterday, had 27000 on clock when we got it in July 2020

Dull here too, dry just now but that won't last. Going for my regular BP check so hopefully will get up to the surgery and back before the rain starts.

Re: Weather
A grey overcast but dry start to the day. Sister in law is driving us insane with her moaning about the weather. This morning she said she hasn’t slept for days because it’s so cold at night but this morning she then complained that we wouldn’t take her to north Wales for the day to see we’re she was born. Three hours each way and west coast weather , she can’t understand why we said thats not going to happen.
For some reason she decided she wanted fish and chips for lunch. Cleethorpes would make sense but no it has to be Skegnes so management has left me and muttly to have lunch in piece to save our sanity.

Re: Weather
A grey damp start today so a soggy walk after bacon butties. Nothing planned for today. Maybe a good deep clean in the workshop. The area round the bin is getting grotty, emptying the bin before it overflows would help.

Re: Weather
Left Blackpool this morning with a cloudy sky. 10 miles up the road, nice and sunny. Got to the 'Welcome to Scotland' sign and the heavens opened and it pisitively possed down the whole road home - and it's still bouncing here. Still, on the positive side, the rain did wash the salt off the car as it was blawin a hoolie yesterday and the spray was flying..
