Bit damp today, there's been some overnight rain with more showers on the way for later. I had the misfortune to be on the M8 heading east from Glasgow airport yesterday afternoon, with 4 lanes of traffic at a virtual standstill because of the choke point of the Kingston bridge. The slow going was not what annoyed me, it was the lane dodgers jumping backwards and forwards to save them 5 minutes in travelling time. In effect it slowed everybody down because and interfered with the flow of traffic. Thank goodness I'm not working and subjected to that every day Whistle1

We managed a nice walk round Wrest Park yesterday followed by afternoon tea but last night it really rain hard. Hopefully it will be dry for the proms concert tonight or we will be hiding under brollies again. rainyday

Heading down to Malvern in the van later this morning, should be calmer inland.

Fence panels came earlier, staining them first, windy here too AG, fortunately we have cover under the car canopy , take car on your run to Malvern.

Lovely bright if breezy day and it stayed dry all through the proms. We set off towards the van before the fireworks but they started them fifteen minits early. Towing the trolley complete with chairs etc across a dark bumpy field was challenging. Muttlie was pushing out the zedds when got back unlike our naibors dog that was going nuts.
A final walk for muttlie and a stiff drink before bed.

Morning Boaby,

18 degrees and bright at the moment, sunshine and showers today by the looks of it.  Off to Stoney tomorrow, just a couple of odds and ends to buy today and we will be ready to roll (don't think I'll be braving the pool though).

By the time we got Wimphole Hall it was getting quite hot. We had a wander round the estate before lunch. The plan was to have lunch in the courtyard for the stables but it was closed by the time we got there at one. We sat outside the main cafe instead.
Muttlie was flagging a bit so we moved up to the site at Ely. There’s a nice breeze here but it’s still warm. Tea can wait until it’s cooled down a bit.

I love Stonie Dave, take a walk around the bay near the old harbour and have a look at the wee metal model boats fabricated and bolted to the sea wall.. Brilliant workmanship.
Still warm here 22 inside the back room ,even with the doors open,Tag is collapsed in front of them AC unit.
Take care Dave.
Boaby p.s take your speedos with you for a wee dippie in the sea water pool, good COOP near bye.

16 degrees and cloudy.  Supposed to rain just as we are leaving but the forecast is for sun later on.  Don't think the speedos will be making an appearance this time Boaby, more likely to be sou'westers  smile!

Take care if you're travelling.

Rauzan SE of Bordeaux and it is 33 degrees at 0730 in the morning, thankfully we have a shaded pitch but forecast is 37 degrees later. Staying that way for a few days then the storms are bound to come.
Quite busy down here seen lots of UK vans but no A/S.
Enjoy whatever you are doing and take care.
Have a great day.

Roasting hot here on the east coast. Suns out very little cloud cover, beaches are packed with trippers, dispite the sewage overflow last week.
Have a nice day, enjoy your tour lads.

Had a couple of hefty showers on our arrival at Anster but the sun came out and warmed things up. Still dry and warm but it's clouded over a bit. Heard the RNLI alarm going off about 4pm, around an hour later a small yacht got towed in behind a lifeboat. Lots of action here biggrin

Dave, check out The Villa if you're looking for a decent coffee or lunch venue in Stoney (assuming the deep fried Mars bars are not for you snigger )

Sunny here too but not quite as hot. We could get an occasional shower but it should stay bright for most of the day. Taking it easy today with a wee walk into civilisation.

Enjoy your day folks

It’s been a lovely couple of days here outside Ely. We walked along the river towards the town yesterday but it was too hot for muttlie so we stopped on the bank top and had our lunch before turning back.
There’s more of a breeze today but still warm so it’s going to be a chill out day. We have no plans for tomorrow on our way home. It will be nice to have a relaxing drive maybe stop at Sutton Bridge for lunch.
Thursday is a day of organizing things and phone calls to make. We wouldn’t bother going home but things have to be sorted this week allowing Friday if it can’t be done Thursday. It makes sense to us honestly. scratch head
