Dozens of folk heading for the hedges to relieve themselves Peter, we had rolls and bacon during our wait.
Hope you had a good time.

We have had a mixed day of weather today. We managed a dry morning walk before setting off for Manchester Airport. On route we had several cloud bursts and big puddles on the M62.
By the time we got to the airport it was bright and dry. Unusual for Manchester. We came back home over the moors and it was a lovely drive until we got to the M1 at Sheffield and it chucked it down until we turned east on the M180.
The nutters were out in force today. Honking down down rain, wipers on full speed and lights on doing a careful fifty or sixty mph. Countless Chelsea tractors tearing past us with no lights on obliterating our poor little Fiesta in spray. Most of them were black or dark grey so there was no warning we were about to passed. censored!
It’s times like this I miss our Transit. Yes it does get blown about a bit in cross winds but at least it feels a bit more firmly planted in wet weather.

Welcome home Boaby, hope you enjoyed your trip. Breezy but dry night with promise of better weather as we move on to Devon.
Got wet yesterday along with everyone else. Impressed with moho parking spaces in Bourton on the water.

Welcome back Boaby, we were probably in Hawes and Keswick when you were in Leyburn and Kendal snigger

The forecast of heavy rain yesterday was way off, we had a shower that lasted less than an hour and it was dry for the rest of the day. It's dry now but there's a high chance of rain later, quite cool too at 14°c.

Happy travels to all on the road.

Welcome back Boaby.  Dry at the moment and 15 degrees but the forecast is for heavy rain all day - no doubt it will start as soon as I open the front door.

Rain cleared by 11, wife has 3 lots of washing out as it's blowing a hoolie on the coast, good walk with Tag, not as long as usual.
Have a nice day,

A rather chilly 12 degrees this morning with quite a bit of cloud.  Supposed to rain later but the forecast rain never appeared yesterday and it turned out quite warm and sunny so we shall see what today brings.

Yes, forecast out again yesterday. We had a little shower in the morning but nothing after that. Dull morning and pretty cool, rain on the forecast again. Should be fun for our trip up the A9 this morning.

Take care all.

Not sure what happened there but got so chilly overnight I had to put van heating on at 4.30 this morning. Pleasant dry week forecast here in South East Devon so more promising than last week.

Have a good day whatever your plans

A bright but cloudy start to the day. Muttly knows theres something afoot because he turned to come home after he got half way round our walk. He has noticed the van is off the drive and things were being packed last night.
We just need management to stop scuttling about and we ill be off before the weather changes. Typically we seem to be heading into changeable weather as per our normal trips. We got soaked last trip so whats new. tap_fingers rainyday

Mind the old A9 Tony, waiting at the snow gates at Calvine for the snow ploughs to clear to way.

Stopped at Blair Atholl for a couple of days on our way up to Granton on Spey, A9 was ok but slow through the dualling works. Some very heavy showers on the way up but it's quite bright now.

Once, when we were packing the car for a camping trip, our Cocker Spaniel vanished from the house. We eventually found him sitting in the car on top of the tent  biggrin

Half hour of rain in the late morning and that was it, been bright since then.

Been to GoS twice, first time we really enjoyed it, really nice site with a friendly woman in the office.  Second time we were up at the top, the bloke in the office was extremely standoffish and not helpful at all and we would have been as well parking on a garage forecourt......

Don't know if it's under new management but we were really disappointed.

Morning folks.

10 degrees and quite bright this morning.  No rain forecast until early evening but it's not supposed to get much warmer than this.

14 degrees, forecast sunny dry and 20 degrees. Management is long term supporter of Donkey Sanctuary at Sidmouth so plan is to spend whole day there.

Nice day on Seaton tramway yesterday topped off by cracking cream tea at Colyton Station cafe. Committed cardinal sin in Devon of jam first, cream on top.

13°c here and only going up to 16° later but it's sunny and bright now. Rain forecast for this evening so the BBQ can have a rest and our tea will come from the local chippy.

Been to GoS a couple of times, we like the local walking routes straight from the site. It is pricey but no worse than Hawes, which was (member's rate) £40 a night shrugg

Take care if away

Spent an half a day there in June, loved those hairy French donkeys (forgotten the name), just like Highland cattle,  nice cafe there - more cream teas?
