Out for a walk with Tag earlier before the temperatures rise, although overcast it's very warm. Periodical heavy rain shower and thunder and lightning, fills up the water butts.
Take care if your on Tour, enjoy your travels BB, Tony, Dave etc.

It was warm but overcast at the start of our walk this morning so it was shorts time. There weren’t meany people about so the sight of my scrawny legs and battered knees wouldn’t scare too many people.
It started to rain a little for the last half mile coming back. As we opened up the van it really came down properly.
Muttly is lying in the doorway watching the rain. I don’t see him staying awake until his tea in an hour.

I was moaning a bit about the generally poor weather (for France at that time of year) that we had during our six weeks in France but the cold weather and persistent rain we've had for the last week and as forecast for the next couple of weeks is just so depressing and catch up jobs that I would usually be doing in shorts and a t shirt have required full winter clothing.............

Sunny and should stay that way for our next move today, might stop at the House of Bruar to goggle at their prices scratch head Lots of heavy rain last night, no problem as it kept the person with the horse laugh next to us inside. Never thought a laugh could be so irritating shrugg

Take care all

We've nipped away for 3 nights to Bridgnorth THS. It poured all the way here yesterday,  woken this morning at 7.45 by the sound of heavy rain, now the sky is mostly blue and the sun is shining. Dare we risk a walk to the town ? Just found out that the vernacular railway up to the town is closed , probably until end of summer , due to urgent work required on a retaining wall adjoining the railway.
The blue sky has gone very grey and its raining again.

The weather forecast was for thunder and heavy rain in the Rutland area today. We decided to go to Kirby Hall near Corby thinking we could always have lunch in van between showers. Apart from a few drops of rain this morning it’s been dry and bright all day. In fact it’s seems to have got hotter by tea time.
My father in law always said Wimbledon week means it’s going to rain. He has been right so far.

Same temperature here in GoS and unlikely to get much warmer. We had a forecast of rain yesterday but got none and even had a BBQ, don't think we'll be so fortunate today. Anyway, walking gear on and out we go (even if it's only to the cake shop snigger ).

Take care folks

17 degrees so far rising to 21 later, bright and sunny with gentle breeze. Haven't needed jumpers or raincoats since we arrived in Devon on Sunday.

Enjoy your travels whatever weather you have

A nice warm but overcast morning. Muttly spent most of this mornings walk with his nose in the wet grass. It must make him high because he was quite enthusiastic when we got back to the van. No doubt he will sleep all the way home as per normal.

Enjoy your walk Tony, wife used to get nice Walkers fruit cake from the shopping town.

Walkers (shortbread) shop has closed down, as have several other shops. A number of others are operating reduced hours as they can't recruit staff. We just got back to the van, just in time to dodge some light showers. We've got a good view of the hills, watching them appear, disappear then reappear bathed in sunshine  shrugg

Wife gets her Walkers fruitcake and Christmas cake from their on line shop Tony, turned out a nice warm sunny day, washed the van and car, cleaned the bungalow windows too.

Raining now, not too heavy though.  All this talk of shortbread is putting me in the mood for a run up to Huntly, last time we were up that way we visited the Deans shortbread factory.

Oh well, just need to content myself with a wee drive to the Tunnocks shop and stock up on teacakes and caramel logs instead.

Our local shop gets well stocked up with Tunnocks products, love the tea cakes and logs myself, we had our wedding cake made by Tunnocks back in 71.

Used to visit the Tunnocks tearoom in Uddingston back in the 70s, good food and a very talkative Mynah bird in a cage. We knew how to live it up hugegrins

Absolutely horsed it down last night and it was very cold. Dry(ish) now but more rain later and even more tomorrow. Happy days think_smiley_46

Take care all.

17 degrees and sunny today.  Forecast is dry today but raining tomorrow.  Luckily I got most of the wee outside jobs I needed to do done either last night or this morning and anything else is indoors.

Yeah - a talkative bird in Uddingston, wonder how many swear words it was taught  alittlesecret
