Re: Weather
We haven't seen the sun at all today and with a temp of 22 it's been really muggy.

Re: Weather
12 here and also sunny but temps are predicted to be no higher than 17 every day for the next week. Fair chance of rain every day as well.

14° in the Lakes, sunny but there's a cool wind blowing. Perhaps it will help push us up the road home today

Safe journey Tony!
Sunny 17 degrees and getting warmer down here, should be a good day, bit of painting to do then its scaffolding down, then put it up again at the front of the house and start all over again. I know how to have a good time, nothing better to do though
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
18 degrees and showery. Managed to get grass in front of fence cut before rain started, need to leave back lawn at present as too wet to cut.
Photo licence expires in September (10 years) so sent off two weeks ago for renewal, don't have a passport so had to be done by post. Replacement arrived this morning, this one valid for 5 years when I will be 70. Sure sign of relentless march of time and reminder to enjoy every day while still fit and able.

Re: Weather
Lucky man Bilbo sent my licence application in February and no chance of getting it before end July at earliest awaiting medical information from a specialist for a problem I don't have. Took 18 months last time, absolute farce.
I carry a gene for long QT syndrome but I don't have long QT and DVLA have that confirmed by two specialists yet they still insist I go through the same farce every renewal
Anyway sunny here and chairbeds need testing

Re: Weather
Played the weather well today for a day of full sun - morning walk on the Rhoscolyn (NW Anglesey) headland for a few hours, a little light gardening and pm walk at home on Newborough beach. Top temp around 17 and light wind. Both Welsh Springers nicely chilled for now with much swimming and rabbit chasing too :-)

Re: Weather
Easy journey home yesterday. It was sunny with a brisk wind blowing when we got back so we got a couple of washings out and dried. No chance of that today, or tomorrow for that, with lots of rain on the way. 14° but feels colder than that despite the weatherperson saying it will be humid.
Take care all

Re: Weather
Its raining!
17 degrees and light rain this morning, badly needed. Couldn't believe how much traffic around this morning and nearly all foreign registration (they don't start with WK or WL) large numbers of grockle boxes, caravans and motorhomes and that was at 0730! This summer threatens to be manic
Good day to book the next trip and catch up with a few indoor jobs.

Re: Weather
A changeable day here starting with a bright morning with a chilly breeze. By lunch time it was a pleasant afternoon but getting breezy again. By tea time the wind had really got up. The empty plastic plant trays management left on the decking have vanished under the bushes at the top of the garden.

Re: Weather
No rain today but not a lot of sun either. Predicted high of 15 was blown away (literally) by reaching 20.

Re: Weather
It was sunny here yesterday but the wind kept it feeling fairly cool. We also had frequent heavy showers which didn't help. Today it's still 14°c and it won't rise much above that. The forecast is for a dry morning with rain arriving around lunchtime.
School holidays have started here, we were able to enjoy the antics of hyperactive children on our shopping trip on Friday Only 6 or 7 weeks until they go back

13 degrees here. 10 minutes ago it was nice and sunny, it's raining now.... Isn't shopping wonderful now, trying not to run into the little darlings with your trolley as they run about the shop (even though you really, really want to )

Morning folks. Quite chilly this morning at 10 degrees. Dry at the moment but the clouds are rolling in so don't think the rain is far off.

Re: Weather
Bumped up to 13° now and heading for a high of 16° later, forecast is for rain this morning with a drier afternoon. Suppose it's good for the garden.
Take care all.

Re: Weather
A bright and less breezy start here so it’s outside domestic jobs time again. The stone arch above above the front door needs painting again. It’s been a long time since it was painted and it’s started peeling. Hopefully the paint I have left from last time will be useable because it only comes in silly size tins and it’s not cheep.

Re: Weather
As we walked muttly there were a few drops of rain but it held off long enough to get the painting done.
I thought it was going to be one of those jobs. Firstly when I stirred the paint the can started leaking at the bottom seam. Thinking quickly I put the can in a spare plastic tub so I managed to contain the spillage.
Next I spent ages looking for my wire wheel to remove the old paint. It should have been in the DeWalt box but turned up in the bucket full of plumbing bits.
Management came out to offer me a brew as I finished and it started to rain quite hard. It kept up for about an hour so my timing was good.
