Re: Weather
A nice bright and slightly warmer start. Management is of on adventures for the day with her nutty mate. Me and muttly are having nothing to do with senior nurses days out it’s too disorganized for us.

Re: Weather
Dry, a little cloudy but no sign of rain which is all good. Did all the checks on the van yesterday ready for its long 50 mile journey, everything seems to be working fine although the water take seemed to take an age to fill up, not sure why that would be.
Forecast looks good for next week so lets make the most of it
Have a great day all

Cooler with a light frost this morning, turned milder during the day, managed to de-gunge the vans roof, what a state it was in due to the hose pipe ban last year.
Have a nice weekend.

Re: Weather
It’s definitely warmer today. I had time in the workshop making the new bushes for the step and managed to leave the door open. Typically the local wasp flight made a visit but disappeared of their own accord.
I was right to keep out of managements day out. They went to the workhouse near Newark.

Enjoy your trips Ian and GH
Mild at 9°c but it's very wet outside. I'm a bit jealous of you guys with ready access to your van's, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to keep ours looking moderately respectable Got it booked in for the boiler repair, first available date us in August. The techies said it's normally a 30 minute job but, because of how the boiler has been fitted, the whole unit will have to come out for access.

Same as Askit - miserable is how I'd describe it, nearly May and it's cold and wet and doesn't look like changing much.
Who you got looking at the boiler Tony? Always on the lookout for recommendations up here as we got our first van in 2019 and couldn't get anyone to look at it because of Covid so still trying to decide who are cowboys and who aren't.

Overcast this morning but dry and the light rain of last night seems to have passed through so all positive from now on. Feels really mild this morning so looking forward to a few days away in yet another area of Cornwall we don't really know very well.
Pain not being able to get the repairs done Tony, not having much luck with heating are you

Volvo V50 2012. 1.6 diesel, low emission, £0 tax!
Making a badge sticker which says lower emission than electric! Which when generation emission and line losses are taken into account it possibly is!
Glorious weather here again today, 15c already, more to come

Re: Weather
You've noticed the pattern GH, just as well I'm not paranoid. It could have been repaired the next day if it had been accessible. We'll manage without heat or hot water for our next few trips.
Sorry Dave, can't offer a recommendation as we've not used the guy before, I'm going on strength of the word of my mate who gets his caravan work done with him. I know what you mean about cowboys though, we're not very well served with options up here.
Still very unsettled with regular bursts of heavy rain, still mild though.

Indeed we aren't Tony. I went to Kirk Caravan Services in Lanark to get some work done when we got the van. Nothing wrong with his work but he's a fair bit out of Lanark and doesn't have a waiting area so you either have to have someone follow you in a car or walk about Lanark which is a good 20 - 30 minutes walk away in the first place and the day I was there was horrible, cold, wet and windy....

Not too bad this morning, 10 degrees and dry if a bit overcast. Think I'll take the van out for a run somewhere today even if it is a bank holiday.

I HAVE to travel today Dave, if you lived here you wouldn't be going out at all on a Bank Hol!!

Lovely sunny morning, much better than last few days. Dentist check up and van aircon recharge this morning.
Lived on western edge of Lake District in late 80s used to go for a run in the car just for fun on bank holidays as we were driving towards influx of tourists in the morning, and against the flow going home. We would bowl along A595 and A591 with no hold up past lines of near stationary traffic . Happy days
Safe travels Ian and anyone else venturing out.

Happy May Day Bit cloudy but quite bright this morning, should stay mostly dry too. The gardener gas plans outside so I'll need to find things to occupy myself, inside of course.
Take it easy and safe travels all.

Funny you should mention them
I've used several places in the past (not the above) including dealerships and motorhome specialists and I would not return to any of them. It's really hard to get someone you can trust

Re: Weather
An overcast start to the day but dry so I decided to cut back the side hedge. The gate post hides in the hedge if I leave it making reversing the Rienza out hazardous. It’s not our hedge but we trim our side for our convenience.
Just as I finished it went cold and chucked it down. Not good for electric hedge trimming .

Rain showers overnight, cleared by 6, overcast throughout the morning and sun braking through now, milder with a nice sea breeze.
Couple of short walks with Tag earlier, too busy on the sea front with OFF lead dogs.
Have a nice day.

Just back from a day trip to Ayr. Traffic was fine and the weather brightened up.
As usual, parked at the far end of the seafront car park, beside the cafe. At the other end there are dedicated motorhome bays with overnight parking for £10 a night from 9pm to 6AM, maximum stay 3 nights but free during the day.
