Boaby - you are a cruel man, mentioning oysters, not had one of them in years and now you've put me in the mood for one....
Raining here now, not really heavy but enough to not want to go out.

Re: Weather
Rained all afternoon with a brief stop at 7, should be on all night, when up over the border we pick up a couple of cartons of Oyster shells to bring back to enjoy one at home.
Have a nice evening.

With or without mallow Boaby?
Overnight rain has stopped and looks like a nice few days ahead. Off later today to cmc Culloden for another go at a few nights away after last weekend failure. Fan heater now packed as backup.

6 degrees here and overcast but no rain, feels colder though. The boss has a schoolfriend who stays down south now and any time she comes up for a visit it's square sausage she takes home.
Good luck in Culloden BB - hope you stay nice and warm.

Re: Weather
8°c rising to 12°c later and staying dry with partial sunshine (think that means there will be some cloud ). Shopping day, manage to forget 3 things last week so going for a record 4 today
We get the packs of "We Hae Meat" 10 square sausage sold in most supermarkets up here and freeze them in packs of two. Everytime we get something from our childhood (like ice cream oysters) they are usually a disappointment. Enjoy Culloden BB, don't get into any battles

Re: Weather
Rained riģt through the night but dry and brightening up now. 6° rising to 10. Taking van for gas check , have to wander around Ruthin while they do it , could be an hour, could be after lunch so waterproofs ready for journeys between cafes while I kill time.

Re: Weather
Nice day down here today, tip run this morning, tidied the garage and then managed a bit of sunbathing this afternoon but going cloudy now.
Should be a good weekend, time to stay at home judging by the traffic locally so early shop tomorrow then back for more painting of walls.
Not sure about this square sausage lark, its all foreign to me.
Have a great day all.

Re: Weather
It chucked in down on our morning walk and it’s been a grey day. I retreated into the workshop this afternoon whilst the rain held off. It’s quite therapeutic listening to the rain on the roof.
The rain has just come back in big lumps so muttly and I might get wet again tonight.

Re: Weather
Nice sunny start here today, was 5c opening curtains...
Promising weekend too, but like those of you who also live in tourist areas, best to stay at home and enjoy the garden.
The very thought of:-
1 Travelling anywhere in UK on a Friday
2 Travelling anywhere in UK on a bank holiday, esp this one
3 EVER going to Dover!!
OK now retired and some have to travel at such times, just don't even have it as plan C here!!

Re: Weather
Only 2°c this morning but a clear sky and sunshine so ut should heat up a bit. Forecast is for it to stay dry for the next few days so no complaints.
Talking of ice cream, Lidl have little bottles of Raspberry sauce (the kind that gets squirted on cones) for sale in their specials section. I had a look at the ingredients and guess what it doesn't contain...........correct, raspberries

Re: Weather
A lovely bright and dry day here. It’s tempting to be off on our travels when we get mornings like this but memories of working at the roadside over Easter when the caravaners make their first move of the year keeps us at home.
We are on the move on Monday and are hoping most people won’t be going home until we have got off the main roads. Typically the weather is swapping back to unsettled next week but we can adjust what we are doing as each day comes. Management has her wellies permanently packed and muttly has his towel ready for damp walks.

Re: Weather
Lovely sunrise and mist just above the river which was in full flood when we left for the early morning shop, looked stunning. Resident Canadian Geese plus Egrets enjoying the first rays of the day.
Last night was disturbed by the badgers having a party, they have completely destroyed the lawn out front, lovely they may be but I wonder if they would be suitable for square sausage meat.
By 8 am traffic was already building around Truro, you can spot the tourist vehicles a mile off and there are plenty of them. Next few days will be spent painting walls and repairing the lawn.
Was planning on joining the "Devon and Cornwall with love to Ukraine" aid convoy next week, they run about every four weeks taking all manner of aid to the Polish / Ukraine border. So far 104 vans and minibuses have gone, usually about 10 at a time. ... the DVLA still has my driving licence application so I can't go.
If anyone is in Devon or Cornwall this weekend it is the Lands End Trial, about 300 classic motorbikes and cars taking on a road trip and facing climbing very difficult hills. Worth a look if that is your thing just google MCC Lands End Trial for the locations to view. If you are wild camping along the route expect to get woken up!
Out to get on with painting walls now, have a great Easter and take it easy if on the roads.

Sitting outside the van in bright sunshine with a cuppa, temperature claims 6 degrees but south facing sheltered from breeze feels much warmer. Management wants to visit Brodie castle to see their daffodils , happy to comply as they have some nice walks and as we are NTS members don't pay on the day.
Enjoy your day whatever your plans
