Re: Weather
Bright and sunny start to the day, strong SW blowing but still managing 11 degrees. Odd seeing the rivers full and yet we still have a hose pipe ban, lots of pressure washing to do after our return next month so hope they lift it by then.
Have great day all

Re: Weather
All change again this morning. It’s back to a bright chilly start to the day but I don’t think it will last so me and muttly had best get mobile. After getting soaked several times yesterday with things to do I am staying put today.

Re: Weather
Back to grey and damp here again. It looked like the day hasn’t been colored in when I went down to make a brew. Parcel day with bits to update the Rienza and a pressy for our sons birthday. I best be up in case it’s not our normal postman that knows we’re to leave parcels, blue recycling bin.

Re: Weather
Wild and windy this morning with frequent heavy rain showers, not looking like any improvement soon. The good news is so far no more water through the lounge window, hoping after numerous builders have looked at it and failed, I may have fixed the leak myself. Time will tell but looking good so far.
Haven't even had a chance to get out in the van, all seems fine with it at the moment but a lot of mice around at the moment so having to be vigilant. Have caught several in traps in the garage over the last few weeks.
Stay warm and take care everyone
Have a great day

Re: Weather
Strong north westerly wind, drying up the ground, good walk with Tag, dodging the wheelie bins rolling about.
Pleased you're solved your damp problem GH.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Another night with heavy driving rain, dark outside but looks a bit less wet just now. More showers on the way so no respite today.
Just got a call to say CH guy has phoned in sick so planned work for today has been cancelled. Bet he doesn't feel as sick as we do

Re: Weather
5 degrees and cloudy. Much less windy than yesterday. House next door to us does B&B so grounds are well kept, his gardener was in the front garden yesterday morning with a big blower trying to tidy up leaves and debris fro the lawn despite the 40mph wind we had at the time looks like it needs done again this morning.
Sorry to hear CH not resolved yet Tony, another few weeks and it won't be needed again until October

Re: Weather
Sorry about the CH Tony, you must be totally sick of it by now. Thought I may have resolved my leak but this morning drip, drip, drip so now I am just going to put gaffer tape around the door shut as there is no time to investigate any further before our trip away.
Dark for the early shop but at least it is dry for the time being if rather windy, will open the van to give it an airing. I left the external screens on all the time and interestingly there has been virtually no condensation in the van by doing that. Take care out there everyone and stay safe.

Re: Weather
Dry and dull start but the dark clouds suggest it will be raining soon. The current 6°c feels quite cold but with sub zero on the way for tomorrow I guess there will be lots of ice on the ground.
Take care folks

Re: Weather
It’s dry and bright here but it’s going to be a short walk this morning and then keep my head down after a bad night. It’s been a long time since my arthritis flared up but last night was not good. I can’t think why it’s flared up because I havnt done anything silly or strenuous. No matter there’s nothing planned so a head down day will help.

Re: Weather
Howling wind and hammering it down last night, today I have been out concreting another newly found hole in the wall. A day of sunshine and showers but it wont last for the drive to Heathrow tomorrow. Also temp has dropped where we are headed, bad news it was 29 degrees yesterday and only 27 degrees today, I am getting worried.
Have a great evening all

Safe travels folks
Clear sky and 2°c, cold winds from the north on the way with a big drop in temperatures. Need to dig the thermals out
Take it easy.

Re: Weather
Thanks Tony
Not a very nice day for the nearly 300 mile drive to Heathrow, much colder this morning, A30 closed both ways by sheet ice and multi car accident, hopefully cleared by now. In the words of Arnie "I'll be back"
Stay safe and warm all

Lovely bright if chilly in the breeze today. Because I was having an off day yesterday muttly hardly moved , they know when something isn’t right. Today he was more energetic on our morning walk as much as he can be for a lazy old boy.
