Change of plan as didn't realise Dunhill golf on at St Andrews. Sitting at Anstruther Harbour in 17degrees and full sun. Off to join queue at chippy in a few minutes.

Snap, had to don a tee shirt this afternoon as it got quite warm when the wind dropped. Cracking sunset but we expect the temperature to drop like a stone tonight.

Re: Weather
That sure was a bonus day, spent two hours in just the swimmers laying in the sun this afternoon, it was like summer again. Like Tony says getting much colder now though, bring on some more of this please.

Re: Weather
Looks like being a dry morning so off to the tip , pick up some gas for the mowers, then, over to Newquay for a one ton dumpy bag of compost. That'll be about it for the day as far as I am concerned although the boss may have other ideas!

Re: Weather
Good luck at the tip, Monty Don was explaining how to propagate Mombretia last week. We've had some since the days when it was called Crocosmia
Dry and dull this morning with a chill in the air, think I can retire my tee shirt for this year. Expecting showers later with more heavy rain overnight. Going to enjoy our last day here with a trip on the bus to the big city lights..........of North Berwick

Re: Weather
Rain arrived earlier than forecast so had to dash and recover sheets duvet covers and towels that were washed this morning after weekend trip in van.
Sitting with a cuppa watching Escape to the Country in Cornwall. Giving me the urge to visit again and be an Emmet. Might arrange something dreckly, or the day after that

Rain, rain, rain.
Took the long way back from Asda, trees lining road mix of green, yellow and red. Absolutely gorgeous sight even in the rain, nice start to the day and lifts spirits even though sure sign winter coming.

Woke up to a blustery morning here on the Suffolk coast. We havnt been out yet but it seems mild out. I hope this breeze dosnt bring any damp stuff with it from the south west.

Re: Weather
Always welcome down here Bilbo, not sure if TW would agree with me but the place is changing so fast. We came here twenty years ago when it really was much more "Cornish" but now it is becoming harder to seek out the old traditional places and the characters seem to be disappearing. Still love living here for now.Bilbobaggins wrote:

Overcast morning but dry and not much wind, in ten minutes it might be blue sky or pouring down who knows.

Re: Weather
You're right, GH. There aren't many Cornish characters around now. Where we live accents from the Midlands and South East predominate. Can't blame folk for wanting to live here but it does seem the ambition of W**n Homes is to smother the county in concretegroundhog wrote:Always welcome down here Bilbo, not sure if TW would agree with me but the place is changing so fast. The weather seems to holding turning quite warm by the time we walked along the front and in to Aldeburgh for tea and cake. Hopefully it will be dry tomorrow when we go to Sutton Hoo.

Re: Weather
We had a yellow weather warning for high winds today too with worse expected to come tomorrow. The forecasted heavy rain was a little later than they predicted so we got packed up relatively dry this morning. We did run into the heavier stuff on the way home. No more trips for us this year so the van has been drained down for the winter, although it has to go for a service and MOT next month.
Loved Cornwall and Devon during our many visits from the late 70s until the early 90s, happy to cherish the memories so no chance of us revisiting any time soon

Have to agree I always try to avoid places I have been before much better to explore new ones.
An exception though Tony is we did a tour of Scotland years ago but made the classic mistake of trying to do too much of it.
Loved the West coast and where you are so will absolutely have to revisit.
Problem is the sun keeps dragging me towards it.

Re: Weather
We have no problems about going back to some places. Back then we were skint and our three weeks away in a tent to Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and Wales were pretty special. I might try to explain in a more appropriate thread.
It's dull but dry here, not sure what happened to the forecasted high winds and heavy rain It does look like there is a high chance of rain today though.

Been chucking it down for hours here. Need to clean van after our 3 weeks away but certainly won't be doing that today.
