1998 Peugeot Symphony Leisure Battery
Hi all
Forgive me if this has been asked before but having searched I can't find a definitive answer.
The leisure battery on our 1998 Symphony seems to have given up the ghost so I need to buy a replacement. What we currently have is a Hankook 65ah battery which seems to be about as cheap as you can get. I'm new to motorhomes and know next to nothing about electrics - do I buy a direct replacement or should a motorhome have something with more power? In other words was the previous owner a cheapskate and should I be buying something more appropriate, whatever that is?
I'm about to try charging it from a trickle charger but I don't hold out much hope - it's reading around 1v at the moment. I've no idea of its age unfortunately but it has been problematic from day one despite checking for power drains.
Any help would be appreciated
Cheers
Paul

You can only go as big as the space under the seat, on my Symphony it was a 75amp. Check measurements then check Tayna Batteries website for sizes.

Thanks Frederic! And there was me thinking a battery is just a battery. I've a feeling I'll know a lot more about vehicle electrics by the time I get our van on the road.

I had a Hanook leisure battery in the Warwick, replaced it with a Yuasa when the Hanook gave up.
