1998 Peugeot Symphony
Hi all
We bought our van last year with a view to help alleviate problems I have with travelling following cancer surgery. Unfortunately the van had many unknown (and unmentioned at point of sale) problems that we have attempted to resolve. We have now decided that it is causing more stress than it's solving so want to sell it. I would never consider selling something without mentioning its shortcomings and wondered if anyone on here had any advice on the best method, or place, to do this. There are plenty of ads from dealers wanting to buy old vans but presumably they will only offer a very basic price - we realise we are going to lose a lot of money but want to cut that loss to a minimum. Ours has just passed its MOT, having had some major welding done to the underside, so should be good for a while yet. It would make a nice project for someone with more time on their hands and, dare I say it, youth on their side!
Thanks in advance
Paul

One way could be to sell at auction. It's generally accepted that an auction purchase is done at the buyer's risk, with no obligation on the part of the seller to disclose anything about the vehicle. Of course, you have to accept that you will get less than a face-to-face private sale would, but it's certainly a valid, honest option.
