Re: Weather
Little grass frost this morning but it's still 11°c, clear and dry. Littering is the bane of my life GH (along with the selfish people who inappropriately park in marked supermarket carpark spaces). Like many on here, we do a lot of walking although it's mainly low level stuff now. No matter where you go, there will be rubbish dumped by people who should know better.

Re: Weather
Its certainly colder today here and as yet the day has been grey and overcast. We had to be out early to drop the van off at the garage so muttly had an earlier walk. By the time I got back my wrist that I banged last week is really sore now. Management being typical ex NHS told me its my fault because I didnt were my gloves.

An aside....litter
Many years ago we lived in a house with a stream running through the front garden, I was up a tree overhanging the stream when a family walked past on the adjacent footpath, Their son threw a pop bottle in to our garden and the stream. He nearly jumped out of his skin when he heard a booming voice from above say " Get your a*se in here and pick that up boy!"
Hopefully a lesson learned and his pants eventually dried out....
Still grey so the van didn't get waxed, been on the internet all morning trying to find her Ladyship a new watch, has to be a specific model am becoming an expert now

Re: Weather
After a cold grey day I have something to brighten up the day. The Rienza passed its MOT and the service is done. The only thing they said was that they have adjusted the handbrake. Hopefully they have more than that because the service was missed last year, it wasnt needed due the lack of millage. I have used the same garage for meany years and they know I trust them.
It looked nice and shiny and clean when I picked it up, they always wash it as part of the service. Considering the state of the roads yesterday it needed a a good wash.

Re: Weather
Starting to think my outside temperature gauge is stuck on 11°c Dry and a bit cloudy though but no frost. My wife got a bit of a shock lat night, she went out the back door at 10pm last night to find the fox kipping behind it
It would seem the fox got as big a shock as it disappeared down the garden

Good job it was only a fox Tony!
Grey, not very bright or exciting but certainly not cold at the moment.... and that is only me
Just another grey day, being a little careful as had a visit from a friend ( yes I have one!) a couple of days ago, we stayed outside but found out last night although triple jabbed he has covid. Sure it will all be fine but will still be cautious even though things are relaxing.
Have a great day all

Re: Weather
Another grey day here but dry and not too cold. Muttly was in a mood this morning on his walk. We have noticed he gets moody when we move the motorhome or leave him on his own. Yesterday morning it was off the drive all day for the service and we were out for breakfast.
We would be packed and travelling if I had my way no matter what the weather but management is going to a retirement pub tea for her ex work mate on Saturday. I won’t be going, retired NHS pub teas involves a lot of G&T,s.

Re: Weather
No change in the temperature here but we've got light rain and plenty of cloud. The redecoration of our kitchen seems to have given my wife the bug so we're off to get paint for our dining room, big room but manageable. We also need to tackle a small upstairs bedroom/office which has heavy furniture and will need stripped out completely, walls, floor, the lot.

Re: Weather
Hope all our friends that sport the kilt had a great Burns night!
50 shades of grey down here this morning, quite thick mist first thing cleared to blue patches but now rolled back in again and it just feels cold at 4 degrees
Scaling the heights today, up on the roof clearing moss, not a favourite job but it has to be done!

Re: Weather
To quote the late great John Laurie in Dad's Army ...it was a wild and stormy night!
Lots of rain and wind onto the bedroom window, north facing so not usual. Fortunately calmed down about 4am so managed to get some sleep. Much better day in prospect.
Off to Tesco now for a quick shop before the hordes arrive.

Re: Weather
Much the same here, high winds and heavy rain started around teatime yesterday and kept going into the early hours of this morning. Much brighter this morning and dry but the northerly wind has made it much colder. Shopping for us too but not until after 10am, just in case we "need" some beverages

Re: Weather
Much brighter and it seems a bit warmer here today. A late start today so muttly will be crossing his legs by the time we get out. The dinning room door is open but he won’t go up the garden. He would rather wait until walk time.
Management was out tidying the garden the other day and said things are starting to grow and bulbs are showing. It seems a bit early for spring yet. We havnt got past my birthday in February yet. That has been in the snow before now.

Our washing is still sitting in the basket, rained all day and no chance for SWMBO to hang it out, maybe tomorrow.

Re washing ,our car canopy is ideal for getting clothes under it,I have two wall mounted clothes driers that fold down from there bracket on the wall.not much good if it's cold and frosty though.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Ground frost in places this morning but cars not frosted. Slight breeze.
Despite having clothes dryer in garden and several expanding airers in the utility room they tend to get left folded up as SWMBO is addicted to tumble dryer, may be consequence of her Fibromyalgia as she tires easily. Still gives possibility of major reduction in electricity bill in future if I got involved with laundry. Currently this is only contribution to running household SWMBO does so try not to tread on her toes as it makes her feel she is still doing something useful. (I do housework. Cooking, shopping, gardening etc).
Off to check list of jobs needing done today.

Re: Weather
I was starting to think our outdoor thermostat sensor was stuck after 5 or 6 mornings at 11°c but today it's down to (drum roll please) 10°c. Another dry start but there's some cloud that may well bring rain later. Big plan for today is getting paint match pots so we can decide what colour the dining room will be, I mean, what's wrong with magnolia

Re: Weather
Back from the early morning shop and various other chores and still managed to get back before 9am. Heavy traffic this morning, are people going back to the office I wonder.
9 degrees and brighter today though I believe light rain is forecast for later, time to break out the pressure washer and make a start on cleaning all around. Not a job I look forward to as it takes ages but it has to be done.
