Re: Weather
Bit milder and dry now but the forecast for the coming week is for lots of rain and stiff winds. It appears the reservoirs up here are suffering because of the dry spring and summer so someone will be happy at the forecast.

Re: Weather
Be taking the shorts off soon and going longs! Still very mild down here if a little grey and a bit of a breeze. Just gently jogging along getting things done. Can't see any transatlantic trips anytime soon, would have to be wearing a mask for 16 hours. Couple that with the fact we just don't know how the rules will change with this virus still hanging about so will put it off as long as possible!

Re: Weather
We're up at 15°c already, still dark outside but I don't need light to see the rain horsing down as it has been all night. Waiting in for a parcel and a few things to do about the house today so no need to venture out.

Re: Weather
16 degrees down here, heavy skies though and looks like it might rain although dry so far. Hoping to do some grass cutting today and picking up leaves but it is very windy so maybe leave it a bit.
Management advises we are off to Morrisons in Redruth this morning, then Truro, that will be the morning gone anyway!
Have a good day everyone

Re: Weather
Seriously heavy rain around these parts over the last couple of days with some localised flooding. Its localised and some outdoor events had to be cancelled because of it. We've had a fair amount and it feel worse because of the brisk wind blowing it along. Still mild though, so not all bad.
Shopping day, how lucky am I having all this fun

Re: Weather
Another mild night, some rain but nothing like the borders and Cumbria have had, we are at the northern edge of it and that weather feature seems to be losing energy here. Rain forecast till Tuesday.
Did have a water cut last night as a fire hydrant about half a mile from us burst at teatime, pictures showed a geyser shooting about 10ft in the air, with the jet about 12 inches across at the base. Saw reports on local Facebook page of people near the leak with no water, about an hour later our water supply stopped. Scottish water estimated repair complete by 9.30pm. Supply returned by 7.15. can't complain about that really.
Scottish water website was updated regularly and did have a "contact us" button for people with immediate need, health or otherwise but can't comment on how effective this was.
Did have nearly full freshwater tank in Moho so did think about firing it up and selling cups of tea around the street
Here's to a more peaceful day today, find mundane quite comfortable when at home theses days.

Re: Weather
Not much change here, still wet, still windy. Thankfully we missed the heaviest of the rain and even more thankfully the river levels in the Borders receded before causing too much damage. Got one little trip to do this morning then some things to organise at home. First thing first though, got to go out and see if our wheelie bin is anywhere nearby after being emptied (Friday morning is guess where we left your bin day )

Re: Weather
Started out really wet this morning for the supermarket run but sunny periods now.
Not sure what is wrong with me today, cough and a bad back from all the work that has been going on meant not much sleep last night and the head is just not in the right place. I even ran a red light this morning in a place which I have driven round hundreds of times, feel really bad about that. No danger as there was no traffic but I saw the light in front half way round the roundabout go green and pulled off. My light was still red!
Osteopath on Monday and expecting a call from the doc but doubt there will be much chance of seeing anyone! Reckon an easy day is on the cards but knowing myself will that happen....nah
STOP PRESS!
Doctor just called, had a chat and said to come straight round for a face to face appointment, best get Lady G to drive

I'm usually up at the back of 4 Al, if it's dry I like to get Tag out for at least an hours walk before the other walkers appear with their OFF lead mutts.bikeralw wrote:Wow, 5.09am!! Still dry and windy here on the East Riding, watching the news and the flooding in some parts of the country, all this on top of COVID.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
We had a breezy but mild day in Lincoln yesterday. This morning our muttly walk was a bit challenging trying to keep my hat on in the wind and dodge the showers.
Typically muttly decided to have one of his daft walks after spooking a cat and going all puppy like. He wanted to go his way not the normal route home.

Re: Weather
Saw your report on the visit to the docs GH, you must feel very reassured
Heavy overnight rain but drying up a bit now. Should stay this way for a little while but no plans to go out, either in fancy dress or not
