Lovely tranquil morning on a CL near Dumfries, bit exposed to Solway and wind was from South last night, managed to park facing into wind so van quite stable despite the noise.

Going to WWT Caerlaverock today, can almost see it across the valley, but 30 minutes and 15 miles via Dumfries by road.

Have a nice day

Morning all
Bit of a grey start to the morning, mizzly but the river looked quite beautiful this morning, it was in full flood with the mist just hanging over it as we went for the early morning shop. Panic stations this morning, we shop in Sainsburys with a pre loaded card through the caravan club, it gives you 4% off your shopping. Got to the check out and it was missing even though I remember picking it up. Bottom line is rang to ask for the card to be blocked as it had over £300 pounds on it but this could only be done with the full number which I didn't have as I had lost the card! A lesson there I think. All is not lost though thanks to some brilliant work by the C&MC who are resolving the issue.

Have a great day everyone, enjoy the travels those who are away. allthumbz

It was quite warm this morning when I walked muttly. We had to call in Scunthorpe first thing and as we climbed over the wolds it was quite thick mist.
After we finished our business in Scunthorpe we drove to Barton Upon Humber for a walk. It is now a lovely warm day with a gentle breeze from the west.
This is the kind of day we should be away but appointments etc has meant this has been a busy week.

Funny old week, we started with having the van heating on right through the night and, after turning it off, a few days later we had to open a window at 10.30pm to cool off   shrugg Still a few showers about but I'll take this for a Scottish October.

Dry, mild start in the east but rain on the way later. No plans for today except lunch in one of the local hostelries  up!

A still and overcast morning again, bit of painting to do outside and then finish building a shed so hoping it stays dry. One of these days I will get the van out again, always seems to be something to do instead.... scratch head

Heavy rain showers around 5 ,had to duke into a promanard shelter to avoid the blustery showers, otherwise an uneventful walk out with Tag.
Forecast to clear later, although it's to get cooler.
Have a nice day.

Bright blue skies and sunny this morning, grass is wet though so no mowing until later. Forecast looks good for the next few days although a little cooler.

Drizzle and mist all day yesterday, stopped off at NTS Threave Gardens, absolutely stunning even in the rain. Now on a CL near Whithorn enjoying a beautiful morning without a cloud in the sky. We have the place to ourselves so quiet morning the explore local villages this afternoon.

Nice dry day to finish our last trip of the year, got the van drained down and removed all perishables. Still got it's MoT next month though.

Enjoy Whithorn BB, my wife's folks had a static down there so we spent a bit of time around those parts.

Thanks for the messages guys, yesterday was lovely pottering from village to village, got a bit breezy by the time we reached Port William

Another lovely still autumn morning today. Slow drive up the coast taking in Stranraer on route, then couple of nights at Craigie Gardens in Ayr.

First experience of CL may make me a convert, peace and quiet exceptional compared t CMC sites, although no free entertainment watching caravaners set up and dismantle for departure. smile!

Dry and cool around these parts today, decent breeze blowing so ideal for getting the washing out for a blow.

When we were (trying) to give the van a once over before heading home, I was cleaning around the drivers door (with it opened). As I got to the end of the rubber door seal, an exceptionally large wasp emerged from the end hole and it was not happy  happyno

East coast wasps seem to have been particularly unhappy for the past couple of weeks, it is quite late in the year for them. A few weeks ago ours were quite tipsy after feeding on windfall plums

I reckon I am a bit like a wasp, not only do most people wish I would buzz off, the older I get the more tetchy I get and certainly more dozy! Sprayed one with WD40 when it was in the car once, didn't kill it but it stopped buzzing hugegrins

Anyway, today is Thanksgiving day in Canada so I have to wish everyone a good day, enjoy it to the max.
Nice sunny start to the day although the grass is very wet, should be able to get out on it in an hour or so. Weather looks set fair for the next few days, managed to get out in just the swimmers yesterday it was that warm in the courtyard. More please!

Have a great day all

Dullsville this morning, had some overnight rain but dry now. Still on the cool side though but it's been not bad for October.

Got my appointment letter, for a couple of weeks time, to get the Flu and booster jags. It will either be a Pfizer or Moderna shot. Never had a Flu shot, rejected it in the past but might get it this time.

Scary monsters news broadcasts have got to me  shrugg

Get it done Tony, nothing to lose!
Nice bright sunny one down here, chill in the air overnight but dry, great weather for getting on with jobs outside so today some cementing to do repairing a roof channel. I hate cementing, can never get it looking neat and tidy.

Still in the stubbies down here for a while yet, Cornwall doesn't really do Winter so worn all year round by some locals.

Off to buy some sand now.... if there is any.... if not there are squillions of tons of it on the beach but I guess that wouldn't work.
