Re: Weather
Still dull here. Gull came back for more today, trying to nick our chicken and pineapple kebabs, it was a bit reluctant to engage with my Edward scissorhands impression with skewers. It still scored another direct hit (if you get my meaning) on the front of the van

Re: Weather
Very good at bomb aiming these gulls, I recall being sat at the lights in Falmouth in an open top car and the little perishers aim was perfect, all over me and the passenger seat. Good job the lady of the house wasn't sat there. Managed to get the grass cut but a pretty miserable day down here, thinking a few days away locally would be good so checking for a Devon or Cornwall site with great sea views.

I can’t vouch for anything on this site other than the fabulous sea views, GH. It's a glorious vista.

Thanks TW, new van looks very smart! Very close to us but might try the Beacon site at St Agnes, if I don't like it on a good day I could walk home!Tinwheeler wrote:I can’t vouch for anything on this site other than the fabulous sea views, GH. It's a glorious vista.

I guess it's 30-40 miles from you and possibly fully booked by now whereas St Agnes, being non-facility, may have space.

Overcast and damp after a heavy fret/Har , gulls dive bombing the pair of us at every opportunity they can.
Still mild,hopefully clear later.

Re: Weather
Sunshine and heavy cloud this morning, it might do anything, rain, snow or a heatwave. Forecast is improving picture. Off to fit a new circuit board to the fridge now as long as the old bones will allow me to do the fiddly connection through the vent.
Enjoy the day all

Re: Weather
Had that fun with the 230v element. Great start to the day here on the east coast, got better as it wore on with very hot sunshine. The evening has not been so great with lots of annoying showers. Site is jam packed so lots of people watching ops

Re: Weather
Actually the fog has got thicker, carn't see the back garden fence, one thing though it's keeping the Sparrow Hawk at bay so the wee Spugs can enjoy there bird bath.
Have a nice day and enjoy the footie,if that's your thing.

Re: Weather
Bacon roll sounds just perfect right now!
Sun has made an appearance here and the picture seems to be an improving one, not before time I might add.
Squirrels being a pain in the butt, filled the sunflower feeders yesterday and nearly all gone this morning and we all know who the culprits are.
Have a great day all.

Heavy thick mist has rolled in of the coast during the last few hours, too wet to polish the van.burlingtonboaby wrote:Nuff said , dreich and overcast this morning, still mild with no breeze at all.

Re: Weather
Great start in Dunbar, hot and sunny. Run down to Bellingham was peppered with very heavy showers and it was so dark the lights had to go on. Warm and bright now but looks like showers could hit anytime

Re: Weather
Bit far Boaby, we left there yesterday. I had a couple of pints of Belhaven best in a pub near the brewery on Saturday though, got to support local businesses, right
Light cloud this morning but an improving picture so they say, as long as it keeps dry I won't complain.

Great morning down here in the far SW, just getting the van out for a trip to the beach, coffee and a good long walk.
Just hope we stand some chance of parking down there!
Have a great one

Phew wot a scorcher Turned out very hot and sunny, thank goodness for cold beer.
Meant to say we enjoyed seeing the exhibits in the stone balancing championships (check it online) held in Dunbar last weekend. I tried to join in but failed to understand the concept, I'll tell you more after my case comes up in court

Re: Weather
Second that Tony! Nice bright blue skies here again and forecast is good, drove to Falmouth yesterday, parking almost impossible along the sea front with several vans obviously been there a while. Back to painting again for a few days, abandoned the idea of going away immediately as still hoping to get to France end of August, time will tell!
Enjoy the day all
