Overcast but quite warm during our morning walk. It feels like we are due more rain later today.
I had planned on doing some more trimming and cutting back today but everything is still soggy from yesterdays rain. Mains hedge trimers are not a good idea on wet bushes. Any way our garden bin is still full from trimming the front hedge and wont be emptied until Tuesday so thats a day of rest until daughter comes to collect her post.

Yesterday turned out hot and sunny dispite forecasters predictions, however we had heavy downpours overnight clearing this morning.
Short walk out with Tag,too much surface water and mud, get out later.
Have a nice day.

We had sunshine and heavy showers yesterday but not as much as the Edinburgh area got. Plenty of overnight rain, it's still wet and overcast so more to come today. A few weeks ago they were talking droughts and water shortages    scratch head

Farmer out the back had the bird scarer running from about 5.30am, loud bang every 15 minutes or so. That'll keep the emmets and townies happy.
I am quiet happy hundreds of gulls and rooks mugging the littlies and grabbing all the food.

Rained hard last night, brighter this morning with a few sunny spells but not great holiday weather.
Don't need earplugs Boaby, just roll over, can't hear a thing in the left ear. It is very useful especially if the other half starts snoring. Good job she is deaf in her right ear though hugegrins

Really heavy downpours yesterday evening and around mid night, all cleared this morning, filled up the pond and paddling pools, sunrise up behind low clouds on the horizon.
Nice long walk with Tag,made up for yesterday's short one.
Adult Gulls are a real bother this morning, dive bombing me and Tag, I have a large golf brolly that keeps them of my head.
Have a nice day.   up!

It’s varied between warm and muggy to rumbles of thunder until this afternoon when the rain started. It has thundered off and on with heavy rain for a couple of hours. The water was coming off the front of the Luton on the Rienza like a water fall at tea time.
Hopefully this weather will break tomorrow when we set off up the coast for a couple of nights. I don’t think walking along the front at Filey in a thunderstorm will go down well with management or muttly.rainydaywalkies

Weak sunshine this morning and a slight NW wind, promises to be a reasonable day. The van is not getting used much at all at the moment, should be away now for a 100th birthday celebration but that is not happening due to covid rules. Saw the bullfinches and goldies on the feeders yesterday, hope they stick around!

Have a great day

Lovely day here in Filey. Just warm enough for shorts and sandals, no socks.
The car park at the golf coarse end of town was busy but the overflow bit on the grass had pleanty of room for us. We had a right royal battle with Ringo vers the ticket machine. Two of the machines wouldn’t take my card then the Ringo app said my acount was invalid.
As a last try I moved to the older machine on the other side of the entrance and payed with my debit card with no problems.shrugg
We have moved to the Piebald pub for tonight. The lady said they had a cancellation would we like to eat in. We took up the offer and should be able to sit outside. Muttly isn’t keen on going in places so outside will be ok.
It should be a lovely evening as it’s stayed quite warm so far. I hope it stays like this for tomorow in Saltburn. We might manage a paddle.

Lovely day on the east coast, dry with good sunny breaks. We were watching the number of youngsters with adults in the water on paddle boards, surf boards, canoes etc. When we were young a bucket and spade was a luxury  scratch head

Beautiful start to the day, amazing sunrise, getting warm very quickly, long walk out with Tag,sorry I didn't get up to Filey Dave, I'm in the middle of carpet and rug cleaning at home, longer job than I thought.
Lots of Swifts up this morning, more than the Martins and Swallows, first time I've seen that.
Have a nice day.

Lovely morning here in Dunbar, although they predict showers later, it's sunny and warm. Had an early wake up call from our upstairs neighbours (birds on the roof  twiddle_thumbs) and the gulls has pulled my BBQ out from under the van. They must eat weetabix and drink irn bru  snigger

Overcast with rain predicted, down at the supermarket by 0730, pickers everywhere and shelves half empty, no chicken or fish and frozen sectioned looked like locusts had been in. No idea why, emmets stocking up for the summer visit or jus a shortage of deliveries.

Hoping it stays dry long enough to get the grass cut as the weekend forecast doesn't look very promising either.

Enjoy the sunshine if you have it. allthumbz

There have been widespread shortages across the country, for some reason the usual media outlets appear reluctant to report but it's all over social media. Might have something to do with them not being able to recruit lorry drivers.

The haar has not lifted here, it's warm but no sunshine. Got a nasty surprise when we were going out, (I'm guessing) a gull left a two inch high (think pyramid) calling card on the edge of our roof with more down the side. What a  censored! mess  confused3

Fraisthorpe beach was packed  this afternoon and too hot for Tag. Even though we were under cover, 30+ in the sun, 22 inside the bungalow with the a/c just turned on.
Always been a shortage of HGV/LGV drivers Tony, to expensive for drivers go through two week course and test, there's a drivers CPC to pass too.
I had to use agency drivers at Unigate foods back in the 70/80s
Have a nice day.

Still a few owner operators over 70 GH, I give up as my knees were cream crackered and the credit crunch put paid to my concrete mixer days.
Turned out really hot this afternoon, still 23 degrees in the shade .
