Re: Weather
Well done Chris make the most of it.
Sunny here again, gentle E breeze so good day in prospect. Things are warming up now for the G7 with a big cruise ship due in Falmouth to house all the police drafted in and have noticed quite a few more military aircraft in the skies overhead. Out and about doing a bit of voluntary stuff this afternoon then hopefully back for a lay in the sun.
Have a great day all!

Re: Weather
Fret cleared by mid morning, town sea front is busy with cafes serving breakfasts and gulls trying to steal it.
Had to nip into S/ savers or Dick Turpins to collect my 2nd pair of specs, very hot in town, glad of the light breeze back in the garden.

Usually no Hog, shop assistants all had them on, most of the trippers didn't, hey ho, we might all be grounded again if this Indian COVID virus really gets a grip.groundhog wrote:You were the one wearing the mask Boaby

Re: Weather
Beautiful sunrise without the sea fret, really nice fresh inshore breeze.
Ideal walking conditions with Tag, no to many walkers out, only joggers.
Haggis in a roll for breakfast. Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Wet overnight here but not the storms predicted, this morning the sun is trying to come through but plenty of grey sky around.
Off to Falmouth today to see the osteopath for a bit of tinkering on the creaking bodywork, mine that is, not the vans.
Appointment at midday so the good news is it will mean calling in to Rowes for a pasty on the way back, proper job
Only eaten Haggis a couple of times but really enjoyed it as I recall, living with a full blown lettuce muncher red meat is a rarity around 'hog castle.

Re: Weather
Warm and dry with a pleasant breeze blowing. Almost feel confident enough to shed the sou'wester Hopefully this will last into next week for our next wee jaunt
Hope you get sorted GH, been there, done that, pulled this, pushed that I was looking at a couple of the photos I took of Falmouth when we were there in the 80s, the area now looks like a carpark near the harbour

Re: Weather
Forecast is looking good for the next couple of weeks so lets hope it holds for you travellers, we are hanging around till after G7 before we go just in case Justin sees our big Canadian flag and pops in for to say hello! straight after that to Start Bay in Devon then heading North but only as far as Barnstaple area to meet relatives.
There were over 1000 vehicles an hour heading down the A39 to wards Falmouth yesterday as opposed to the normal 600 or so according to the statistics from the camera in Perranarworthal, with G7 several car parks are closed and parking will be a pain. Dozens of van dwellers were living near the harbour at Pendennis Point but the council have now put yellow lines with a ban from midnight to 6am, most have moved on leaving the bad press for all motorhome owners in their wake. Most of the Hotels along the front have either been turned in to flats or retirement apartments. The Liner a new building which replaced the Falmouth Beach Hotel the penthouse was for sale at £1.6 million but still some of the nicer apartments at £750,000 each if you want one
Re the osteopath I was told many years ago I would never walk again after smashing up both legs, proved the doctors wrong and have no problems walking at all, running is just physically impossible for me, so seeing the osteopath for a few twinges is a chore I am happy to accept.

Still mild though

Re: Weather
Pretty good start to the day, mild a few clouds but supposedly an improving picture later. Pestered by jackdaws and pigeons attacking the feeders if numbers and scaring the smaller birds away. Even the feeders with cages round are under attack. Slowed the squirrel by putting vaseline on the pole, I know it is not good for them but little b*ggers were just destroying everything in sight, counted seven of them at one point.
Have a good day all, we are going back in to voluntary lockdown after seeing the crowds yesterday!

Re: Weather
I managed a long walk with muttly and our son today whilst management was away. Lovely warm day even quite muggy a couple of times.
Whilst we were having our butties at lunch time it spitted for a couple of minutes. Just before we got home it started spitting. I couldn’t be bothered with my jacket so carried on. It stopped before I got wet.

Re: Weather
Some broken cloud but looks like a mainly sunny day ahead. Problems with the waterworks (house, not me ) means being confined to barracks whilst the "experts" try to figure out what's wrong

Re: Weather
Really sunny start to the day. less traffic about at 0730 than there has been last couple of weeks, clouding over now reckon we might even see some spots of rain later. Parked her ladyships car under trees yesterday, now it is all covered in sticky goo, first job I am told is to give it a bath
Noisy dawn chorus with blackies singing loudly and a the resident pair of goldfinches on the feeders first thing, great way to start the day.
Have a good one especially all those on the move or about to be.

Re: Weather
More cloud than yesterday but still warm and dry.....so far. I think the sun will win through eventually but methinks some will get a shower.

Re: Weather
Still got some fine settled weather, it's remained dry, sunny and warm. There appears to be a risk of some rain out to the north west of Scotland over the next few days. I'm hoping not to see any of it
