Solid blue sky and sunshine, very mild again and dry. Taking the van out for the first time today to shop at Morrisons some twelve miles away and get some gas from the local fuel company. I think I can claim that is a necessary journey! I think continuing to the north coast for a walk probably wouldn't be as tempting as it is.

Driving rain this morning, smart birds are staying home

Windy and wet with worse to come for the next few days, back from old people's shop, loads of traffic around. Always know when the emmets start arriving because of the number of cars with grockle boxes on the roof, there a quite a lot at the moment. Hmmmm

I've noticed them too, Hog. One was crawling past my house yesterday, clearly lost. So much for staying at home! Stand by for a rise in infection rates in a couple of weeks.

Rains on again, cooler than yesterday,anyway enjoy your weekend.

It was warmer yesterday enabling me to leave the workshop door open and turn the heater off. By the time we walked up to collect my prescription the wind was cold again late afternoon. 
The wind is picking up again tonight. 
We still managed a short walk coming home the long way round. The main road was busy compared to last week. Are people relaxing again and venturing out.

Heavy rain overnight,brief weather window to get Tag out earlier, very muddy of the foot paths.
Mavis having a good old sing song, brightens up a dreich morning

Very dull and overcast, which is forecast till Monday afternoon when things should pick up...
Off for jab at lunchtime, something to look forward to

Pretty dull here too but at least it's dry...........so far. There us no chance whatsoever that it will stay that way so I'm off to find a book to read.

Rain and cloud has cleared off to the east. Usually comes in that way.

Mild dry morning, coastal path not busy this morning,good hours walk with Tag, no foxes this morning.
Frogs have re appeared (14) usually around 30+ , Tag has despatched a few last year, so the numbers are down.

Mild pleasant morning with light breeze. Pavements and roads dry for first time in a couple of weeks. House heating had an easier time last night as much milder after storm passed.

Fine and sunny here too, should be able to get out for a walk in pleasant conditions for a change.

It’s definetly getting warmer here. I was up early after daughter and boyfriend came home from nights so I sat with the dinning room door open whilst I had my first brew of the day. Muttly lay on the decking whilst a gang of sparrows were having a punch up on the kitchen roof. For the size of them they are noisy little things. 
It might be a good time to open a vent on the Rienza, just the small bathroom one. After having everything shut down during the cold spell it will freshen things up a bit.

Another mild dry night, great walk out with Tag, took the big touch with me and walked some local fields ( not lamping) .
Dawn chorus is getting loud with the Blackies joining in.

We got a big washing hung out and completely dry yesterday, looks like a similar kind of day today with good sunshine and a light breeze blowing. All downhill from tomorrow with a return to heavy rain and weather warning for localised flooding

Good sunny morning, showing 8 degrees at moment and ne wind. Last few days show in a strong southerly and heavy rain water has been getting through above one of the windows at Hog Castle, loos like a problem wit the parge verge so ladders out and have a look see what can be done!
Not looking forward to it but try getting a builder to do a job like that anytime soon!

Absolutely pouring down as predicted, no chance of going over the doorstep today.

Blowing a hooley here, dull, grey and rain tipping down. Going to need lights on all day I suspect. Still better than having snow.

Dry and blowing hard and that is only me! Skies are overcast and a strong SW, still a good enough day to get out and do a few jobs.
Didn't enjoy going up the ladder yesterday but at least plugged the main holes, Decision made to get a builder in later in the Spring to get up there and do some work. Just noticed a section of fence has blown down, b@gger!

Beautiful sunny morning here, slight chill in the breeze but nicely refreshing ... snowdrops are out in abundance too.
