Less wind today, mild and overcast, off to buy plants and bushes now, then collect a ton of topsoil so a busy day!

I was just about to post "what he said" except our temperature has gone up to a heady 8°c with blue skies........and rain Think we've got a day of showers in prospect.

Sunny blue skies and a little fluffy cloud, no wind and very mild. No excuse for not getting the strimmer and mower out!

Re: Weather
It’s been a lovely spring like day here unfortunately it was the last day for muttly Max. He hasn’t walked on his own for months and this week he started having seizures in the evenings.
It would have been a perfect day for a local walk with him but we will keep up the walks on our own for now. I don’t think it will be long before we look for his replacement. Probably another rescue dog.
Management has taken this quite badly. After this last year and her sister being ill in Australia she is going to need a lot of TLC.
If the weather holds we will go for a sea front walk tomorrow before my vaccination.

Re: Weather
Dave, sorry to hear the news of your dog. I know some find it hard to understand how attached we become to them, but we do. From what you've been saying, it sounds like he has been struggling for a while now. I'm sure there another one just waiting for you to pick them out, when you both feel ready.

Re: Weather
So sorry you have lost your dog Dave, I'm sure he had a great life with you both, lots of walks and treats.
We lost Maisie our 16 year BT back in 2017, we know how you feel.
Take care.

Re: Weather
A lovely crisp and bright day here. Just for a change I can sit with the dinning room door open. The sparrow squadron are already fighting in the bird bath. For there size they are noisy little things and quite brave. They will come on to the decking looking for things in the pot plants.
I didnt see it properly but there was a small brown bird with yellow in its feathers appeared very briefly. The bird book is behind daughters furniture in the dinning room.
Considering we are still in a sort of lockdown there is a lot of traffic on the A180. We can here it because of its concrete surface and we are about two miles from it. Its no wounder you cant here the car radio when you drive on it.

Re: Weather
In and out of the supermarket by 0730 this morning, a light frost overnight but clear blue skies now so should be a lovely day. River looked great this morning, nowhere near as many birds as usual but the mist was just rising off the water with the sunrise reflecting, glorious.
Have a great day all, off to collect a ton of topsoil shortly, that will be fun!

Couple of sunny days in prospect here today and tomorrow, the gardener was even able to do some pruning yesterday. Still cool but warming up nicely. We'll enjoy while we can.

Cooler breeze, nice and sunny, pity the contractors are ripping up the footpaths outside (again), very noisy cutter.

Re: Weather
Lovely morning after a moonlit night with a light frost, another good outside day once it warms up a bit. Will connect the ctek to the van today just to give the engine battery a boost charge, showing 12v but like to keep it at maximum.
First afternoon of 2021 sunbathing yesterday, may have inspected the inside of the eyelids for an hour or so but someone has to do it.
Not sure I completed the task properly so may have to have another go today!

Yes, yesterday a real treat...looks like more of the same when the mist is burned off, warming up already...time to wash the van roof, not too dirty but my 'van fettler' Ismail coming on Tuesday to do a small job and he's going to assess the addiction of another panel up there....don't want home to get dirty...bless!

30 degrees in the direct sun, 15.6 in the shade, not bad for the end of February.
Chicken drumsticks on the BBQ this lunchtime, really nice change.
