Sunny with a really cold wind, had to give up picking and pointing our boundary wall.

Re: Weather
Dry. Cold and overcast, ideal for walking, not many out this morning walking, thought there would be more out especially on an Easter weekend, lots of extra vehicles parked up along the prom.
Have a nice day.

Re: Weather
Really nice sunny morning and no sign of frost. I had to nip out the back of the house last night about 10pm and it was quite bizarre, it was warmer outside the house than it was inside (our heating is getting fixed on Monday, hopefully). Another fine day ahead but a different story tomorrow

Re: Weather
Frost last night but ended up a bright sunny day although a cooler breeze throughout. Saw our grandson for the first time in months which was great, kicked a ball about then remembered how old I am getting, great fun though!
On the bird front buzzards gliding overhead again then noticed one of them was carrying a snake, he is welcome anytime! Don't mind bears, spiders but snakes

Re: Weather
A bright but rather chilly start here. Unless I slept through it there were no blackbirds this morning. The sparrows were arriving when I let muttly out at half seven. Next doors shed roof looked like it had frost on it so it must have been cold last night.
When I have done breakfast and walked muttly I have a lashing eye to fit to the Rienza so whilst I am in there I think I will put the heater on to take the chill off. Muttly can come with me to see if he likes the idea of it being his travel kennel.

Re: Weather
Thanks Boaby, only here for a couple of hours visit, quite hard to explain to a six year old he is not allowed to sleep in his bedroom with his toys and that he can't take Grandma home with him!
Slight frost again last night but a stonking sunrise, clear blue sunny skies now. Looking at the webcam, car park by the beach is half empty, it was the same yesterday which is a surprise. No surf which is probably one reason and not much wind today either.
Happy Easter to everyone, enjoy the bank holiday, not long now to getting those vans out and away.

And a happy Easter to you too. After a bright start it's started to cloud over and there's a sharp wind from the north. Wintery showers expected to the north and east but temperatures will be down around 5c tomorrow. Need to get down into the cellar to clear the access for the workies, oh joy

Re: Weather
Thanks, we're just grateful that it didn't happen a few months ago
We have various electric heaters but they hardly touch the sides. Our house is a Georgian semi that would have had 6, long since removed, open fires in its heyday (we still have the remnants of the original servant call system in the loft ) although we have a couple of "comedy" gas fires that look pretty but produce little heat. Several years ago we contemplated replacing one with a wood burner but they have been demonised by the green lobby

Crystal clear sky again this morning but there has been a flurry of snow overnight, just enough to be noticeable on the roof of the car.

Overcast sun breaking through a little, gentle breeze but dry. 8 degrees this morning.
Still very quiet everywhere, just the birds singing merrily away.

Exactly the same here and 8°c outside. Guys turned at 8am as promised and toiling away Not too bad a day for them as it's dry and our cellar door is south facing so, relatively speaking, it's quite mild in the sunshine

Re: Weather
Well impressed by the guys replacing my boiler, hardly stopped from 8am until they finished at 3pm. We have a warm house again
Reading through the supplied instructions gave me a laugh though, on several pages in bold, large print it says;
Note, BOILER RESTART PROCEDURE, to restart boiler, press the "RESTART" button Really

Re: Weather
Lovely blue sky and bright sunshine again today although we had a couple of snow/hail showers last night but not much evidence this morning. 7°c outside which is not too bad considering what others are getting.
Thanks Boaby, radiators are on full blast The guy is having to come back this morning to fit the vent as the one that came with the boiler was too short. He said " did you know your outside wall is 45cm thick"?
I did, after drilling through it to fit our outside water tap 30 years ago. That was a fun day

Re: Weather
Not a bad day, some cloud in between the sunny bits! Probably try to finish waxing the van today then make a start on the big task of painting all the white walls around the gardens. Just ordered 30 litres of white paint from Travis Perkins, they are doing trade masonry paint at a bargain price at the moment so jump in if you need any!
