Re: Weather
One of the reasons we have withdrawn our feeders this year, neighbours nearby have introduced hens, this has attracted ruddy rats, I've humanly trapped several in traps, however Tag is running after them, injuring himself doing so.FreelanderUK wrote:Same here with the bird feeders ,not many birds at all compared to last year, but there was a large rat swinging on the fat ball feeder having his breakfast this morning
Sunflower hearts was always a winner with the goldfinches here.
We have a couple of trees oppersite our property, most of the leaves come in from a local wood.

Wet and very windy down in the far SW, a day for indoor jobs. Not ideal for anyone coming down for half term

It might have petered out by the time it gets to you but, after a pleasant day yesterday, we had high winds and heavy rain right through the night and moving east. Still got a dull grey sky and heavy showers but they reckon it will clear by lunchtime. Isn't motorhoming fun

Wind is ramping up keeping the clouds on the move, tons of leaves all heading west. Still chilly.

Living on the edge of farm land and with dykes that run along the back lawn we have all sorts of visitors in the garden , the deer ate all the leaves of the bottom branches of the Apple and pair trees and all my rhubarb

Re: Weather
Same here lovely starry sky but rain showers now, threatened to be very windy but so far just a gentle breeze. Number 1 lawn mower in for repair so will not be grass cutting this week, lawns still being dug up every night by something still unidentified. Rumours of a badger around but haven't seen it myself!

Re: Weather
After our soggy walk last Wednesday it’s a lovely autumnal day here. It’s so tempting to be back out there. Maybe another trip should be planned.

Typical LD weather, heavy rain all last night but just the ordinary stuff this morning Little change ahead so it will be a case of dodging the showers for a couple of days.

Dull start but sunny now, off to the big City this afternoon (Truro) to be relieved of plaque from the teeth and no doubt a huge wedge from the wallet! Leaf gathering in the meantime I think!

Re: Weather
Clappie Doos, thank heavens for google!
Windy, damp and warm today and that's just me, forecast promises to brighten up a little later though. A 10 meter swell coming tomorrow so has to be a day to pop down to the clifftops to have a gave at some crashing waves. My surfing days have long gone otherwise I would have been out there looking forward to that!

Sounds good Boaby!
A favourite of mine is clam chowder, best I ever had on the pacific coast of Vancouver Island in a place called Tofino. There is a little shack where they make it, much better than restaurants, now I am drooling! Have a noice day!
