how to select Configuration mode EC500
Can anyone tell me how I select configuration mode on the EC500 digital control panel?
I have tried the long press up and down buttons to no avail.
The reason I ask is that the manual from Sargeant refers to automatic step action along with illuminating awning ligh when unlocking the van, it says this is dealer configured.
Any ideas anyone?

Get a Dealer Manual. Googling found this:-

Lots of stuff there.

That manual deserves to be in the Factsheet section.

Re: how to select Configuration mode EC500
Only the Mods can do it. Hopefully Roli or CC will see my post.
Correction: it looks like it can be done just starting a new thread, I'll try it.
Correction 2: Only Mods can add threads in Factsheet section.
Have sent PM to Roli.

Hi the long press on the up and down arrow buttons has to be done with the display turned on and it has to be on the Autosleeper logo screen.

I rang AS about this and was told that these are two features of the EC500 that are not used by AS and are therefore not configurable. It’s seems the manuals are incorrect. Whoever wrote the AS manuals has copied from the Sargent EC500 instructions without thinking. I asked why this continues to appear in the AS manuals and there is no answer to that one.

I configured mine using the instructions. Altered the step operaion so it only comes out with a push on the button and not on unlocking and go in when locking. Goes in when engine starts though. Also altered the step configuration as it wasn't always coming right out on the first push of the button - can't see the instructions about this though.

It is listed Step Run Time.

Another setting in this configure mode can change "Peugeot" and "Fiat" as the default setting. I was advised by Mark at A/S a couple of years back to use "Fiat" even though I have a Peugeot Symbol. Something to do with low battery voltage warnings and "Fiat" set up being more suitable.

Yep that's correct.
Once in the menu keep selecting 'down' to work through the options until you get to the last menu item which is save and exit.
