Pump problem
We have a 2018 Fairford and it’s been drained down for winter. Wanting to fill water tank using exterior pump - and despite reading the handbook I cannot work out how to get this pump running. Its never been used before so could be a fault, or it could be me!! I’ve checked the pump on a batter and it runs fine. I’ve checked the connections in the socket on the side of the van and there is no voltage there. Help!!

Re: Pump problem
You need the control panel on. Could it be as simple as that?

12v control panel is on - I’ve tried with a tap open and tank pump running but no joy!

Ploughing - possibly not, didn’t see anything in the manual for this option on the EC480 panel, off to google again

Re: Pump problem
You must make sure the the whale connection is in properly and that the flap is pulled down over the whale connection to make the circuit and operate the filling

Re: Pump problem
Thanks for all the suggestions, I’m 3/4 the way there to sorting it.
There are 0 volts going into the + on the back of the whale connector. I bridged across a power supply to the + on the back of the connector and hey presto pump and solenoid working fine.
Called into my dealers today and he’s booked me into workshop for Monday morning and hopefully he will fix the missing power supply and we will be sorted.

Re: Pump problem
So what was the outcome of this dealership visit, Moaten. The pump should have been checked for operation at the PDI stage by the supplying dealer before your Fairford was handed over to you. No excuses for it not to be checked either, but maybe the fairies came in the night and disconnected the power before you picked it up! This is just another thing that makes you wonder about PDI's and their worth.

Re: Pump problem
Maybe the 2018 Fairford has a different set up from 2018 Warwick xl. I have just been playing with filling from external source(aquaroll in my case) and have a tank fill switch on the control panel which powers the external socket.

Re: Pump problem
The dealers workshop identified a faulty connection so no power to the socket - certainly should have been picked up on PDI........ but it’s fixed so I’m happy
