Urgent pump problem
Help please.
2011 Nuevo with Whale system
Filled with water today so external pump OK.
Tried to pump water through taps - nothing ; no sign of pump trying to operate with open taps.
Screwed pressure switch adjuster fully in and out ; nothing
Used test lamp across pressure switch connections; nothing. There seems to be a click sound coming from the pressure switch as I press the pump switch.
Checked fuse on 328 unit ; blown
Replaced 10 amp fuse tried pump again : blown.
Is it the pressure switch; hope so because easy to replace. Going away on Saturday.
Help much appreciated.

Re: Urgent pump problem
To avoid anyone’s grey matter working overtime on this I have contacted Whale Technical services who confirm that the pump must be shorting out internally and there is no option but to replace the pump.
So a Shurflo it will be. Will have to cope with our 23 litre container next week.
An additional question about fitting the Shurflo unit I assume it will be OK to fit it in the wardrobe of the Nuevo and it wont be a problem with noise and vibration?
Alternatively I wonder if anyone has fitted a Shurflo in an IP 65 enclosure box externally to the chassis?

Re: Urgent pump problem
Virtually no noise, or vibration, you'll know its running though.
No need for soundproof box.
I'd add an on/off master switch in cct to allow it to be switched off at night or any other time you don't want it.
I'd keep it inboard for freezing issues.

Thanks for the reply, just to clarify I didn’t mean in the wardrobe but in the area beneath it above the boiler as I’m sure has been appreciated.

You will hear some noise, but then you know it is pumping!

Mine is fixed to a board, which is fixed to the carpentry through a foam sponge pad. Hear it working but no vibrations.
