Harmony help
Hi all.
We are a couple potentially looking at a harmony. This model seems to fit our specifications.
1. Under 5m long. (Short wheelbase)
2. Washroom, toilet, shower.
However the ages of these vans is an issue. We are wondering if there newer Auto-Sleepers that fit this category? We really need a 4 birth and an auto box would be necessary. We aren’t sure how many 4 birth, auto harmony’s there are out there.
Thanks for any replies in advance.
Bob.

Re: Harmony help
Absolutely none I would think. Unless the odd one was built on a Fiat as Peugeot never had the option of auto box. The Harmony went out of production around 2002.

The only 4 berth van conversion that Autosleeper now make is the Fairford but its definitely not under 5m. I think you will find its 6.5m long.

Re: Harmony help
Probably the best bet would be to get a copy of M&MM magazine and look through their articles/tables on panel van converters.
4 berth with washroom/toilet/shower is very difficult to achieve in a van less than 5m long, so in some way your spec is probably going to have to be revised...
If you're looking at that sort of spec, you really need to understand the distinction between 4 berth and "4 berth". Most "4 berth" panel van conversions are Ok as long as 2 of the berths are for small children - which of course may be fine for you.

Re: Harmony help
The shortest van conversion that Autosleepers now make is the 2 berth Symbol and even that is 5.4m long.

Re: Harmony help
Thanks for all the replies. The 4 birth is a “grandchildren” plan so definitely for children. So it looks like a harmony I think.
So what is the engine like on these. Have they stood the test of time?
Would its life be extended with a good overhaul?
