Kingham Seitz Concertina Blinds
Hi all
The small concertina blind on the passenger side, at the kitchen, has failed. We've already been waiting for two and a half weeks and have now been told we need to wait for another 3 weeks for it to come from Autosleeper.
Our van is now over a year, so the blinds are not within warranty anymore.
Does anyone know if these blinds are a specific size for the Kingham or can they be bought elsewhere?
Thanks in advance.

Why not ask Mr Google? He knows everything [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Surely you'll find an answer in one of those hits.

Cheers Dave/Gromit
But my question was specific about whether AS Kinghams had tailored sized blinds, so figured I'd ask 'Mr AS Van Conversion Forum' in the hope of a specific answer. Fingers crossed anyway.

It appears to be same as kitchen blind in Kemerton XL, so good chance standard size,

AutoSleepers are now on their summer shutdown, which probably explains the 3 weeks.

What is the nature of the failure? The blinds do have components that can be replaced.

Hi Peter [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Both net and blind have stopped retracting or staying in place. As it's the blind that probably can only properly be accessed by taking the sliding door off, we're not about to try a self repair. So wondered if we could take it to another Motorhome Specialist. They aren't Autosleeper approved so we're concerned they wouldn't be able to source the blinds if they were AS/Kingham specific. Thanks for responding though.

Its almost certainly a Remis blind and its quite possible that the bit in the link below is broken

The centre we'll probably end up taking it to are pretty good with fixing, rather than replacing things so we'll suggest they try that first anyway.
Thanks again

Slightly off topic but once saw a m/h where the owner had made his own Remis/Seitz style blind for the windscreen. Pretty convincing as 'the real thing' too as they looked identical....except they'd cost him pence and time to make.

The blind unit in the sliding door of our Kingham is very loose and probably increases the volume of rattles.
Is everyone else’s fixed firm ?

Actually we had to re-attach ours after our last trip. The easy bit was taking the panel off but the screw sites for the blind itself are quite difficult to get at and to obtain a decent angle to tighten. It'll probably work it's way free fairly soon but quieter at the moment.
