seitz sliding windows
Hi,
on my Symboll I have sliding windows each side behind the cab seats. I noticed that on the drivers side I am getting a good growth of moss beteen the inside of the fixed part of the window and the internal trim and the only way to get at it would be to slide the fixed window forward. Does anyone know if this is possible as I've seen the price of a new window if I break it through being heavy handed,
Regards,
Chris Vesey

Sorry I can't help. I'd love to know if the windows can be removed as well as the runners appear to be very rusty on mine, the ones that are hidden behind the non-sliding pane.

Re: seitz sliding windows
The windows are retained by flimsy inserts which also form bearings/runners for the windows as they slide. My advice would be to leave well alone as these inserts appear to embrittle with age, and you'll probably break them and never get them back again as they were originally.
Time for detergent and a soft brush I'm afraid!

I never open mine. The runners have gone brittle and have broken in places.
Seem to remember using a toothbrush to clean the moss out.
