Kingham windscreen blinds
Does anyone else have problems opening their windscreen blinds when vehicle parked in hot sun, the magnetic strips between the blinds when closed seem to ‘weld’ themselves together and are extremely difficult to separate.

Re: Kingham windscreen blinds
Not had that problem but on the last van the blind material came unstuck at the sides in the hot sun. Stuck back OK but thereafter we never fully closed the blinds when the sun was beating down on the windscreen.

No problem here even in hot sunny weather.

The member formally known as Wagenwolf but now known as Kingham complained of this with his van when he got it. I can't remember how/if it was resolved but you are not alone. Hopefully he will be by later.

Re: Kingham windscreen blinds
French chalk dust I applied last year is still working and neater than Remis’ own fix.

Re: Kingham windscreen blinds
Mine caused trouble, so I now use an elastic type hair band or a cable tie to hold the blinds shut, works a treat, well does in my case.

Re: Kingham windscreen blinds
My magnetic strips have come unglued ! and I have to shut the blinds to stop the alarm going off when the sun comes up.
