Carefully you don't leave it on for too many hours and flatten the battery leaving you unable to start. I wire mine to the leisure battery where I can.

Re: Peugeot Boxer Radio Cut-off
I'm back! A couple of points. First, we leave ours on for several hours, at least 6, when pitched up for the day and never had a problem starting the van. The sound level must be deafening to drain the vehicle battery enough to cause a problem, IMHO. Point two, not mentioned by anyone so far, is the completely useless USB port. Ours only works with the ignition on. Another alternative to a separate radio is Freeview tv. Plenty of choice there. Shame about the sound quality though!

I wonder if the USB has been modified on newer models ?
I have 100s of my favourite albums on a USB stick, which I play via the dash USB port whenever I lose radio signal while travelling, or while pitched up.
It's only as useless as the radio, in that it cuts off after 20 minutes, but certainly doesn't need the ignition on to work.

OK WW, it strikes me that little thought went into the software design for these vehicles. Most of the niggles in these vans, radio timeout, power sockets on ignition, dashboard lighting, no 'sidelight only' choice etc etc should be fixable via the CANBUS. Someone could make a killing offering some fixes.
