1998 topaz sink tap
Hi,
hopefully there are some topaz owners who can help me..... should the kitchen sink tap pivot up? It seems obvious that it ought to, but mine is so solid I am beginning to wonder. Is it common for them to seize ?
Thanks
Jonny

Re: 1998 topaz sink tap
Hi there,
The one on "Petal's" kitchen sink seized up one time; and then leaked when the nuts were slackened off!
Luckily, I had a tub of plumbers paste (vaseline should work as well) and a smear of that on the joints resulted in free movement of the spigot and no leaks.
That was nearly four years ago and still okay!
Just a "teach granny to suck eggs" tip - on "Petal", the two collar nuts that hold the pivoting spigot to the two taps are both "right-hand" thread.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,
