VW Topaz 1998 - Water Problem
We have had this van for two years. We drained the water system over the winter, then after filling up again in the Spring, we found that, having switched on the pump, water came from the taps (kitchen & washroom), even though they were turned off.
Whilst we were advised it might be a problem with the pump, the strongest suggestion is that the tap washers need replacing.
Can anyone advise us on this? How do we remove the taps to replace the washers? Both seem to require considerable dismantling.
Thanks.
Alan

You properly left water in the taps it may have frozen and damaged the taps, when draining for winter leave all taps open driving will shake all water out of the taps, pump and pipes. Find the tap manufacturer and you will find diagrams and parts lists on line. If not sure post a photo of your taps.

I thought we'd left the taps open, as instructed - but that still might be the cause of the problem.
