Peugeot Symphony Empty Peugeot Symphony

The green & gold stripes on each side of our newly acquired 1997 Symphony are marked in several places showing white paint below.  We would very much like to restore/replace these stripes.  Not sure if they are painted on & require "touching up" or whether they are in fact stripes in their own right and transfered on? Wondering if anyone has had this issue before and would advise on replacing/restoring? confused3
