Rear leaf springs
I have a 2008 warwick, one month ago the rubber between one of the leaf springs came off causing the springs to 'slap' when going over the slightest bump. I had a new spring fitted and all was well until yesterday when another rubber has come off. The van has only just 17000 miles and to put it mildly I am rather irritated.

Clutching at straws, but have you checked the rear air bags for the suspension, are they intact and at the right pressure?

Re: Rear leaf springs
We have a 2009 Symbol and lost a rubber insert on one of our leaf springs but have not suffered a re-occurence. I seem to recall they are held in place by a nut & bolt so it maybe that your first replacement was not sufficiently tightened.

Re: Rear leaf springs
Hi Duke
I've got a 2008 Warwick and have had just the same problem on 2 occasions, the rubber is bonded to a metal plate which is then riveted through the leaf spring, I managed to find some rubber the correct thickness and used impact glue to fix them to the metal plate still on the leaf spring. Are your rubber buffers resting against the leaf spring above them as this could point to you needing air suspension assistance, I've fitted them a few months ago, they lift the suspension up so there is now a gap between the leafs (if you look at a new van the gap should be there). Your right about the noise, when the first one happened I thought I'd snapped a spring. I hope this helps.
