Duetto space heater.
Hello everyone. Thanks to all who helped with advice on my battery problem. It turns out it must have been a bad battery as it blew its case in the end.
But new subject to get to grips with.
My Carver P4 heater needs replacing. The space for it is restricted as Duetto owners will know, soooooo, has anyone had success replacing theirs . What fits with minimum effort :scratch head:Erberspatcher was looking good, but I understand they draw a lot more current from the battery when running, unless anyone has had experience on them. Regards, David.

Re: Duetto space heater.
Now don't all fight over this but there is a P4 for sale on Ebay, starting bids at £130.....

You can replace it with a Propex, new or used or even a Whale (Whale have actually bought out Propex and have developed their own version) but none are cheap. Second-hand ones go for anything up to £250 and new is anything from £500 to £700. Unless you frequently camp without EHU, consider how many hook-up nights you could have for that money and use a fan heater or oil-filled radiator.

Duetto Heater
Thanks guys for the threads to read. The one for sale on e bay is in Scotland and I'm in Dorset, and as I had mine destroyed by the postal system I have no confidence in having it sent. I also don't have a lot of confidence in the actual heater as they seem to be fragile.
I was hoping someone had fitted a Propex in the space where the P4 sits. As I see it, the Propex sits widest side down while the P4 goes on its edge, so there might no be enough room for the Propex.
As to using EHU and fan heaters, we do this if we have hook up, but like to do pub car parks and a bit of wild camping abroad so a working gas heater would be a bonus. The other side of it is that if I wanted to sell the van then it would be nice to have the origional spec to offer a buyer.
Thanks again, David.

Re: Duetto space heater.
The Propex can be mounted any way except vertical......(taken from their instructions)
''The heater can be mounted any way up as long as it is not vertical, as the
motor bearings will be damaged (i.e. It can be mounted around the
horizontal axis).''
Full instructions can be downloaded for any of their models.....
