Sagging Fresh Water Tank on a Duetto
Hi there,
I've just noticed that the fresh water tank on "Petal" seems to be "sagging".
Two questions:
1. Has anyone else had this problem?
2. If so, how did you resolve the problem?
Best regards,
Ian

My Symphony has what appears to be a plank of wood (ply) under the tank and this looks a bit bowed, probably through damp (it is under the vehicle with all the road spray etc), is this what you mean?

If it IS the ply support that's bowing, & its rectangular, re-fit it 'upside-down' & it will 'sag-up' & soon sort itself out
If a specific shape, then use as a template & replace it.
Removed one of mine a while back, only 4 'J ' bolts into the chassis box-section. Enjoy

WHAT AN ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT IDEA!!
"Petal" is parked tight up against a fence at the moment but if my memory serves me correctly (not always a done-deal nowadays) it IS rectangular and it ISN'T terribly bowed; so it SHOULD go back upside down!!
I just love this Forum and I will keep you posted on results.
Many thanks and best regards.
Ian

Yes - it was quite noticeable on our Mk2 Transit based A-S.

When we discovered how rusty the threads were on the fixing straps, we didn't bother. It's not like it was sagging enough to drag on the ground...
As others have said, A-S appeared to have used just ordinary plywood - not WBP or anything vaguely water resistant. So whenever it went out in the rain it got a soaking - in winter I suspect it went for months without drying out fully.

Hi
It doesn't look as if its about to fall out so I decided that it wasn't urgent. It's been like it since I got the van four years or so ago and hasn't got any worse (as far as I can tell) so I'm not too worried about it. Opps shouldn't have said that should I.
