1987 Transit Flair charger unit
Hello - sorry if this sounds a novice question but im new to all this - Ive a 1987 transit flair & the charger unit lights dont do anything when either plugged into mains or running off the leisure battery - the water tank level gauge next to it doesnt read anything except when you press the button for a reading it lights up the green 'battery fully charged' light on the charger unit.
As you can see we are having a play with the new toy this evening

Re: 1987 Transit Flair charger unit
Hi there,
On mine there is a small push-button, a small knob that "twiddles" and a scale with an indicator on it.
The theory is that when the water tank is full I can calibrate the level indicator by pushing the button and twiddling the knob to set the level at 100%.
It will then read out a reducing level as the water level falls; and I can check the battery condition by pushing the push-button at any time.
Hope this helps.
Best regards,

PS I never use it. When the water starts "spitting" I know the water level it low enough to draw air into the system and the tank needs topping up.
